Cody Franson

I have a question for the preds fans.

Is he still up with the team? Made the team? Or back to juniors?

Juniors. Management loves him, and I believe Trotz and Poile think he will make this team and be a good defensemen in the near future (2-3 years).

thanks

Nashville will have lots of good defensemen in the near future, probably the best 1-6 in the NHL by then.

Cody is off to a great start with the Giants. He is looking to be a force and a leader on the Giants although in the last game against Prince George he looked a bit lack luster at times imo, yet still ended up with 3 assists in a 4 - 1 victory. The Giants are off to a 5 - 0 start while Cody leads the team in points with 1 - 8 - 9. At 6' 5" he certainly stands out and look forward in seeing him mature and make the big club in time, although it seems awefully crowded at this time in Nash.

Franson right now is looking INCREDIBLE. I'm not hesitant to say right now he is the top defenseman in the WHL.

Great to hear...keep the reports coming throughout the year. I'm very interested in hearing about how Cody progresses throughout the season along with all of our other prospects.

Franson has developed from a tall, lanky kid with a great pass into a huge defender with a mean streak, a great stride, and an outstanding pass.

Best passing blue-liner in the WHL and I would go as far to say his breakout passing is NHL level.

He took some sort of physical ''enhancement''. In that year span he grew a beard, his voice tone deepended two or three tones, and he put on about 15 or 20 pounds of muscle. It has worked out for his career, obviously.

Franson is seriously playing out of this world right now. 13 points so far in the season.
