Kris Letang is garbage. Most overrated D-man since Mike Green. Any list that has him ahead of Keith is a travesty.

Just goes to show, the best players can really struggle against good defensive players in the playoffs, ie Toews/Kane. It's all about depth, even though PIT loaded up, they still lack secondary scoring. Jokinen, Morrow, Sutter, and their 4th line are doing nothing to compensate for it.

Its a lot about team structure too, they are horribly coached IMO. Their D is slow, and their G's suck. Bruins are a tough good team, but they aren't THIS good.

The Bruins were 10 minutes away from being eliminated and the Hawks faced elimination 3 times and an OT. Now they're both 2 wins away from playing for a Cup. Crazy!

Fleury almost has to be considered a draft bust at this point in his career, simply for a guy taken 1st overall (incredibly stupid to take a goalie there, IMO), his numbers are very, very average. He's 2.66/.910 in the regular season, which is about as average as it gets. He has also not posted a plus-.900 playoff save percentage since he won the Cup in 2009. The only reason he puts up 35-40 wins a season is because he starts nearly every game, and the Penguins can score. But he has done very little to earn that 1st overall pick.

How scary do the Bruins look right now... I'd be glad to face them in SCF bc it means Pit has lost by omg, what a hell of a team for us to have to overcome.

The Bruins are good, but the Penguins are just really bad. This is the first all-around skilled team they've faced in the playoffs and now they are exposed. The Islanders were skilled offensively but had no D or G. Pens would not have gotten out of the first round if the Islanders were better on the back end. The Hawks are still the best overall team left, even above Boston.

I don't know if I fully agree. I think as far as stacked rosters go it's the teams that are left right now, and then everybody else. I think the Bruins match up well in the East generally because they're built more like a tough defensive minded western team. I don't think there's a forward on their team that you can call a slouch at defense. Obviously they're great defensively as well... and as if we didn't have enough trouble picking up goals in front of the net, Mt. Chara will be present to take on all comers. Rask I think is actually the weak link... he's shown that he can unravel mentally, and I think it will be key to get to him early in the series.

Honestly when I look at the Bruins as a whole I find it fantastically difficult to find any weak areas that we might exploit. Unfortunately I think that means we will have to rely on the PP to win us one or two, or our star players are going to have to go out and finally start being game breakers offensively. May need to see some serious heroics from Kane and Toews. If Saad can finally put some home I think that will go a long way.

Overall I'd actually rather see the Bruins than the Pens bc I think we match up better, but I think the B's are still the better team in the east, and possibly better than us as well.

Boston is the most complete team in the league outside of Chicago. They're a much tougher team that is slightly less skilled. They certainly provide a much tougher challenge than Pittsburgh.

Slightly less skilled? Come on.

Boston reminds me of the 09 Flyers. Overcame certain elimination, then rolled over their opponents in the ECF

I'm sure Shero will make deals to address the Pens' D and goalie issues before game 3.

Good to see you guys doing well, loved the Hawks since the Roenick, Larmer, Nichols, Peluso days. Plus I hate Vancouver and they hate you so it is all good.

If the Bruins/Hawks meet in the Finals I will be more than happy, good luck to you guys.

I've been wanting a Bruins vs. Hawks final since - forever. Good luck. (and i hope the Bruins can finish off the Pens) Makita and Larmer where always favourites, still have my Bobby Hull puck and Savard might be my favourite player of all time. -I'll skip the players in your history I don't like. Mostly it would make Vancouver fantastic if I could wander out with one of my Hawks friends wearing our jerseys. Good luck again.

Impressed by the Bruins but they don't scare me. IF it happens, I'd say the matchup in skill level is similar to the 2010 finals, i.e. slight edge to the Hawks, with both teams having better goaltending.

Pens are overrated? Who'd have thought that.

Malkin proves me right about him and his not existing effort.

Agree to disagree. We've certainly got the better high end talent, but they have a bevy of top six guys.

I thought he had a couple of nice drives to the net.

They are big time overrated. Horribly pedestrian defense and goaltending.
