Is one Brand of stick "whippier" than the rest?

I searched the forums but couldn't find the answer I was looking for so I apologize if this has been brought up.

I just started playing again after 10 years off and at that time I was using wooden sticks. Now i have a Bauer one60 77 flex but cut down its around 92 flex. I'm 5'9" 165 and want a Senior stick with a little more flex to get shots off a little easier. I thought I read that a warrior 75 would be like a Bauer 65 and I think I heard that an Easton 77 is a 77 after you take 2 inches off the stick?

I am not interested in an intermediate stick. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's what she said...

And yes, I'm pretty sure the flex of a stick differs from brand to brand

I have noticed my Bauer Vapor x7.0 is less whippier than my Easton Stealth S19

I've found Warriors to be the least whippy of the major brands out there that I've used over the years. Easton's always seemed reliable, I knew what I was getting and I'm currently using an RBZ and it took me about a month to get used to the whip and/or kick point.

Could just be my imagination, but my Warrior Widow feels much whippier than my Vapor X:50. The current Bauers at my LHS feel about the same, but I haven't been able to try shooting with them.

First, I'd read this buying guide, should answer a lot of questions.

No, there isn't a brand that is stiffer or whippier. Pretty much all quality sticks from the big brands are close to their rated flex at a standard height.

Now, some models are stiffer or whippier because they have low or mid kickpoint. The Supreme line, for instance, is one of the softest flex because it flexes at your bottom hand, not near the blade.

Which would tell me that, if the One60 is too stiff for you, you might want to check out intermediate sticks. There's not going to be any retail sticks that are softer. MAYBE a 70 flex Miken Z9 or MAYBE a 77 flex Nexus 1000?

Another option is to check out BASE or Warrior custom sticks which have more flex selections.

Vapors are strange because of the dual kick points and they tend to be on the stiffer side, but I found my Warrior Diablo to be one of the stiffest sticks I've ever used. Probably because I use my hands/arms more to flex the stick.
