Some more people calling in saying if Mess is the coach he'll win the cup. Sigh

They're 100% meh. Them and the Lightning have cups, they have the foundation for their own traditions; you don't have to be like the 06 teams! Just another cash grab-gimmick in the league that used to have all classic jerseys. Make a new 3rd jersey every year for all ****s I give.

Maybe if the Pens keep getting embarrassed Geno might want to leave.

Visors will be grandfathered in. Hybrid icing tested in NHL preseason. Shallower nets to be used next season. All subject to board approval

What will the shallower nets accomplish?

Shallower nets, this should be good, it will open up the back of the net a little, but there will be plenty of arguments and replays on whether or not the puck went in

Visors should be mandatory, I never saw a year with so many pucks to the face

Shallower nets are terrible. It will give them even more space to be behind the net for no ****ing reason

Hopefully a player that can work like Gretzky behind the net will be re-established.

This is where we see Hagelin become the next Jagr.

Was my first thought as well!

You know he's sitting at home drooling right now

I'm okay with visors being grandfathered in. I'd love for the players to have a choice, but how many young guys coming up these days opt to go without a visor anyway? Not many.

With this though, they really better start enforcing the extra two minute minor for starting a fight with a visor on. Nothing infuriates me more than guys who pick fights then hide behind their visor. I loathe that.

They always enforce it. It's an automatic penalty.

Leave the ****ing nets alone; making them tight as a bowstring already annoys me enough.

Not sure how I feel about the visor thing. By grandfathered in I guess that means guys who've been in w/o them don't have to?

I am also unsure of hybrid icing. Depends on how hybrid it is. Hope it doesn;t turn into a kids league style haha. And I don't get why shallower nets. No problems there. Players could fit

Going to be really expensive if every single school/league feels the need to emulate. The businesses who make the nets have to be going insane right now.

Sounds like Dallas will announce their new coach at the unveiling event for their new jerseys as well.

Could be anything, but I get the feeling they "little" announcement is actually somewhat substantial.

Here's a look at proposed shallower net, 4' x 6' opening of the net will remain the same, only depth reduced by 4" pic.twitter.com/aDlEhK3xId

Carl Hagelin is thrilled with the shallow nets.

And somewhere, in a distant land, Frolov is smiling to the heavens.
