Check this out:

http://theshinguardian.com/2013/06/0...own-the-table/

Its a statistical analysis that has calculated how many points MLS teams need to make the playoffs or win the sheild.

The best part is the interactive portion where you can change the values and see all the numerical details.

TL;DR East needs 45pts for 5th place, west needs 47. SS winner needs 62

We need 0.86 PPG to make the playoffs at this point and 1.63 PPG to win the SS.

Dallas needs 1.70PPG, and the rest of the team is REALLY far back, needing 1.9+ PPG

Point is, unless we really collapse, we are looking in great shape.

We absolutely need to finish top 3 in the east so we qualify directly to the conference semi-finals.

I wish we still had the equilibred schedule, the SS would have been so more meaningful. Even more than the MLS cup IMO.

Doesn't he take up an international spot since he is internationally swiss?

I'd say over 90% done. By next year it should be fully paid off. Then with the rumored new Kit Deal with Puma for 2014-2015 rumored at 30Million Pounds per season & The renewal of the Emirates deal (30m pounds per season as well), corporate sponsorships will give Arsene Wenger lots of money to work with. Now its to see whether he will use it or not

No, he's a canadian citizen he doesn't need a work permit so he won't count as an international player.

I don't think Rochat would be able to crack the present line-up we have now. Who would you sit out to bring him in? I would not dislodge anyone in our present line-up for him. Plus we have Tissot, Wandrille, Ouimette as young depth players. Frankly I wouldn't want anyone's rejects...let's leave that to TFC.

Marco Schällibaum and Alessandro Nesta will each get a one-game suspension following their ejection in last game vs @SportingKC #IMFC

Maybe a little OT, but I think they're changing the rules next season for spending money on players. You can't spend more then you actually make. Has anyone else heard about this?

Should be there : http://www.uslnation.com/USLPro/inde...0@%20Rochester

Edit : I'm a bit worried though that since Rodriguez, DelPiccoloand Messoudi all played tuesday we'll get Mallace, Warner, Nyassi and such...

Financial fair play is the name.. Supposedly you can only spend what you make in corporate sponsorships [To generalize it.]. But what people don't know is that most teams owners will be able to find easy ways to have other companies that they own "Invest" in their team, and just use it as normal money. Yes maybe it will make some teams be able to spend 50 Million per summer instead of 100. Its good progress, but still isn't perfect

Rodriguez and Del Piccolo played about 60-70', so I think they'll play or they'll come in later in the game? Unless they play some U21s, we don't have many sub/reserve players that are fit to play. We might see Wenger play the whole game though.

Warner should play though, he deserves some play time to keep in shape, same with Mallace and Smith.

Looks like Crepeau will get the start tonight according to Bush's tweet (Saying its horrible temperature and he'll be staying in door tonight). IIRC it will be Crepeau's first game in over 1 year

EDIT:
Impact de Montréal ‏@impactmontreal 49s
#IMFC XI vs @RochesterRhinos | Crépeau; Meftouh, Mallace, Lefèvre, Ouimette; Gagnon-Laparé, Rodriguez, Smith, Ubiparipovic, Messoudi; Ndiaye

Will the real Maxi Rodriguez please stand up?! Nice to know that the language barrier will be a non issue for him

The caps gave up on Rochat because he costs $190,000 and he is not playing well enough for that. Also he is a UFA this summer and young enough to ask for a similar amount again. DC could use the help too.

USL stream open and ready!

Financial Fair play is a decent idea, but it has flaws in both theory and practice. The structure that makes Pro/rel happen is the same that makes financial controls very difficult to implement.
