A tribute to our Captain ! Official Saku is God thread.

Since we have one for Latendresse...

Official Saku is God thread
CaptainCourage
A tribute to our Captain, the soul and the heart of this team. The guy have been overrated long-time on this board but as much as now he is highly underrated and by highly I mean HIGHLY. Saku is by far my favourite player and one of my hero... he go trough many big fights all trough his life and I think he deserve anything less than an official big thread about him.

Our Captain... we all know what the Habs are without him. Remember, in playoff, 2 points in 2 games.. then the ACCIDENT and ... well, we all know the rest...

Amazing talent, without all the injuries he would be one of the 10 best centre in the league. He's no Sundin, neither Thornton or Alfredsson but still, Bruins are alive and they trade Thornton. Losing Alfredsson wouldnt hurt that much Ottawa... But without Koivu, we are in deep trouble.

He is our leading scorer in preseason and I hope, if he play a full season, for a 80 points season !!

I have this poster right behind me right now.

Saku, you are the best.
Saku, tu est le meilleur.
Saku, sää olet paras.

Saku Koivu

Yeah, Koivu is admirable, but this thread embarrasses me.

Saku is a great player, and probably could have been greater, if not for all of his injuries, which is really too bad.

Greater than great ?

He's not great but good anyway . Sundin , Modano , Sakic are great players , not Koivu .

I think KK's handle says it all.

Koivu is our fearless leader, a star player, but not a superstar as Forsberg or Sakic, Sundin, etc.

If you believe Koivu is God.
Then while watching Canadiens game you should only drink an Estonian beer named Saku. (check out my avatar)

It is the Blood of the new and everlasting covenant it will be shed for all

A great season-opener game for Saku yesterday

Watch the game with some friends of mine... long-time Saku haters so God, I take BIG pleasure to make'em know that Saku have 3 points (and make a pretty good play on the 1st goal of the habs even if he dont get a point)

Saku is God

Im waiting for a great game from him tonight too against the Leafs. Maybe + 2 points yet again !

He may not be as skilled a player as those forwards mentioned above, but he is a better captain then most. Those other teams only made those dudes captains cause they were good at scoring(thornton). Some like Sakic are just god in general at everything. But Saku is a better captain then most of the people mentioned above. If it came down to who's the better captain, I think Saku takes the cake on most of those dudes.
