A bit low value for moving up but maybe.

Only if Horvat is available. Before Ottawa takes him at 17th. Yeah, I would give up the 36th or 55th. We need to take Dauphin with the 34th if possible.

NYI reason- We have a pretty solid prospect pool but this is a deep draft and I would like the Isles to get a 2nd rounder to mayby target one of the goalies or a player who smay slip abit....

Im fine with standing pat at 15 but I think we can still get a good player at 25 while picking up a 2nd that we don't have in the process..

MTL reason- I don't know why MTL does this but they have 3 second rounders and mayby they would be willing to give up one to move up 10 spots into the top 15 of the draft....
This is a bad trade for NY.
We don't need more prospects that take time to develop because we have enough. What we need is a NHL player and at 15 in a great draft Zykov, Pulock, Erne, horvat, etc are quality.

Decent chance somebody of the calibre Erne or Zykov falls to 25 and with 34 we can draft a goalie

Zykov is not falling past 18th and there is a good chance he is not going to make it to 15

I listed 14 players I listed who would be gone by 20 a few posts back. I would add Wennberg, Pulock, Morin and Gauthier to the group who will probably be gone by 24.

That is 18 players there which means 6 other player will most likely be drafted before Montreal picks(and good chance Zykov will be one of them but somebody has to drop to 25)

In a perfect world if the Islanders traded down I would love Mantha or Fucale still on the board(ie 2 guys I would hate taking at 15, but at 25 make a great selection)

Wennberg could get picked over Zykov but he would get picked before 25 the only 1 in top 15 that i could only see fall as far as 25 is Pulock

1 to 6 is obvious after that is would be something like
7-Monahan
8-Nurse
9-Ristolainen
10-Zadorov
11-Shinkaruk
12-Horvat
13-Domi
14-Pulock
15-Zykov
16-Wennberg
17-Mantha
18-Morin
19-Morrissey
20-Lazar
21-Burakovsky
22-Fucale
23-Rychel
24-Hagg
25-Erne

If that was the draft board by time 25 came up(as an Islanders fan) I would take Santini at 25th and Jarry at 36th and I would be very happy with the deal

At 15 I would much rather go with Lazar

I pu Lazar lower because the others have more offensive upside

Lazar would be the perfect fit for Tavares RW(unless we convert Strome to a RW)

I understand your logic but why a goalie?
Goalies take years to develop. I love Saros in the third or late second round but we need a guy now. We don't really need to draft Fucale.

I am not sold on Poulin, Nilsson or Koskinen ever stepping up to be the #1 guy so nice to have somebody in the wings. No way I want to draft Fucale at 15 though, which is why the trade down would work for me(I am pretty sure Jarry will still be on the board in the early 2nd).

I put Fucale there because Calgary is probably going to draft him there
