I'd give him an ECHL tryout contract maybe for depth purposes.

Has ok size, showed he is capable of scoring and playing a 2way game (when motivated). But, he would be a better fit as a late rd pick or, better, as an undrafted ufa starting in the echl letting him work his way up. He could become a useful player to have, and if not, at worst, you used one of the 50 pro contracts.

Forgettable, and unlikely to crack a pro roster in North America, imo. Would make a great pond hockey teammate against people that don't really care how the score ends up, though. He tries just hard enough to be somewhat productive against depth lines while playing on a stacked team, and avoids scrutiny as a result (former 2nd overall pick in the Q draft, btw). Lots of shortcuts and lazy thinking/focus, and WTK already brought up the stupid penalties thing. Fournier, Boudreau, and Ashley ALL with more points than him this year because they earned more ice time/opportunities with their play...

Anyone can see that he has improved his offense from 35 to 71 points.
Also improved from -7 to +42.

Maybe he will be invited in Hamilton at the end of next season.
He also has cut his hair.

Someone can probably give us reports on his game.

He reminds me of Dagostini

Hmm... interesting. Maybe not far off, without having thought too much about it.

Not that they'll end up in the NHL but I'd take my chance way more on Fournier or MacAulay than Ciampini.

Anyway, who wants Ciampini now...

Means nothing. He hasn't improved a lick, imo - but the situations he found himself in while on the ice certainly did. Halifax's bottom 6 made mincemeat out of the lines other QMJHL teams had left after trying to shut down Mac/Drouin/Frk/Ashley/Fournier/Boudreau. The 12th highest scoring forward on the Mooseheads this year was still up in the 0.5 PPG range, lol.

I'd rather have Andrews in camp than Ciampini, too, for that matter. Less skills in a vacuum, but better hockey player. I'd want a good look at Fournier (against bigger/older/more experienced competition) above both, though.

I would have really liked Charlie Sarault. I believe we invited him to camp, but the lockout screwed that up. If im not mistaken, he signed a deal with the ducks earlier in the new year or just before. It's too bad because I liked the way he played.

Invite him to summer camp, not worth a pick or contract at this point.
