Modo 93-94

Wow, talk about a team that supplied the NHL.
I was doing a little Seven Degrees of (Separation hockey style) at hockeydb.com when I stumbled upon the Modo team with Forsberg and Naslund in 92-93.
The next year Naslund left, but I am amazed by the amount of NHL draft picks still remaining on the team.

Peter Forsberg (Flyers pick, with Avs)

Martin Hostak (Czech player drafted by Philly before going to Sweden)

Erik Holmberg (Drafted by Blues, never player NHL)

Andreas Solomonsson (Devils pick, now with Caps)

Magnus Werblom (Drafted by Kings, never played NHL)

Niklas Sundstrom (Rangers pick, now with Habs)

Miloslav Horava (Czech pplayer, Oilers pick, played three years with rangers before going to Modo)

Mats Lundstrom (Wings 5th rounder never made it to the NHL. In fact, career just seemed to end after being drafted)

Anders Eriksson (Wings draft pick, now with the jackets)

Hans Jonsson (Penguin pick, now with penguins)

Mattias Tiamander (Bruins pick now with Sabres and AHL affiliate)

Per Svartvadet (Stars pick now with Thrashers)

Anders Sodberberg (Bruins pick, never made it to NHL)

Pretty Amazing, I think.

And this season they've got Svartvadet,Salomonsson and Jonsson back from the NHL/AHL

They start coming home everyone of them ... will be a joy to watch them if there's a lockout

Back in 92/93 over 50% of MODOs SEL roster where still juniors, thats amazing dont you think?

I am counting the minutes until the faceoff for 04/05 when hopefully #21 will be back..Should be an intresting season

This year atleast three MODO players will be drafted and two of them will most likely go in the first three rounds.
