It's not clear to me where the baseball connection exists, other than that these individuals happen to own both TV interests and baseball teams.

Yeah, it's just copartnering interest from regional TV deals. Blackhawks would benefit like crazy if the Cubs have a great season, too, due to increased CSN Chicago ratings.

It's not specifically baseball here. Same would be the case, I'm sure, for other sports teams that share regional channels. Seems like a no duh type of article.
