Common put some more thought into things.
Who cares about what Huet did last season? He didn't win us a cup... I care about RIGHT NOW...This year....And what we need this year is solid goaltending. So go with the hot hand...Carbonneau is a smart coach and will not play favorites and imo Abby has definitely deserved another start.

someone should make a vbookie thing about this, i put 200 on Abby
Abby got his 2nd game and he won, good for him, great for us! Huet had a great 2nd half, Abby a great 2 games... that's the difference. Carbo is a man of class and respect and he knows the season is longer then the 3 games we've played. If Carbo doesn't start Huet then its a huge slap in the face to Huet, which is why it WON'T HAPPEN!

The past is the past...Carbo knows this. He also knows that when you have these 2 great goalies, you play the hot hand... It's in the best interest for the team. You act as though we owe something to Huet...The guy is making 3m and if he truely wants to earn his no 1 spot, he'll prove his worth his next start. Carbs will not start him when abby is playing this great simply because of what he did last season... **** give Guy credit, he's smarter than that.

Aebischer is ready to take over the starters job. I thought he would do it last year but he wasnt ready, but he is doing it this year instead. Just accept it.

I think alot of the anti-Aebischer sentiment is because he is Swiss. Some of the other Swiss athletes I really like such as the Swiss tennis player Roger Federer, the Swiss alpine skiiers, the Swiss figure skater Stephane Lambiel, have to deal with alot of anti-sentiment against them as well, wanting them to fail. I guess that is just being from a small country with little popularity, it is what you have to deal with, people always against you. The Swiss are small but they are mighty, they have spirit and they will overcome through it all.

Huet hasn't earned anything other than possible overpayment.

Ok, Huet s not cold
Aebi s probably a little hotter than Huet but that doesnt make him cold.

How is he a little hotter than Huet? He has 2 games and in both had far better save % than Huet. Not only that but he's looked alot better.

I said Possible, which clearly means for the whole season. Obviously we aren't paying him for 1 game. There are question marks on Huet. That's where the "possibility of overpayment" lies. Then again he could be underpayed...who knows. All that I know is that Abby is red hot and he should get the start.

do like i did, stop arguing with him. The guy is anti-abby and he loves Huet, its only normal he wants him to start.

all i have to say is....
Carbo is a smart guy.

He wont put Huet in nets because its in the best interest of the fans.
He will put Abby because its in the best interest of the TEAM.

well Huet hasnt played his 2nd game yet,
Philly played a 2nd game in 2 night, Toronto offense isnt the Sabres offence, I m not taking anything out of Aebisher, he did play very well, But huet hasn t played enough to say he s cold. Plus, as i was saying if Souray and Rivet would have been better that 1st game , things would have probably went different. Compare with tonight, the Ds were much tighter no ? Iut was the first game of the season, and all these things makes it more difficult
If it was like in the middle of the season, yes Aebi would have deserved it, but for the 1st game at home, i think huet will get it.

I love the guy !
but once again for the 1st game of the season here in mtl, i belive it will be Huet
You guys forget fast that if it wasnt for huet last year, we would have finished 14th!

have u actually read nething we wrote?
we said it 5 times at least..LAST YEAR IS THE PAST!!!

we are this year.. Montreal doesnt owe anything to Huet. He made us make the playoffs, ok, good, he got his money for that. When he wins us a cup, make him start wtv game he wants, i wont say a word. but RIGHT NOW, Abby is the right choice, no doubt about it.

Right...You also forget that Abby just won the last 2 games posting a save % over .95 ...Sure we made it to the playoffs...big woop. I would've rather ended 14 seeing as how things ended...we would've got a good pick and Koivu's eye would've been fine.

We have to worry about this season, and not look to the past. You're acting as though Huet has done as much for us as say Koivu....We don't owe Huet anything...if anything he owes us everything. Hell we gave him the chance to shine, and we gave him the millions he wanted this season. All for a 40 game performance.

He is.

Huet, however, has not shown he is ready to give it up.

Hence, they will platoon.

My guess is Huet against Ottawa, but I would neither be shocked nor scandalized to see Aebischer.

I don't think there is a goalie controversy in Carbo's mind. I think he knows precisely what he wants to do. The media and fans, however, will have great fun speculating.

Why do pple keep talking about last season? Last season was last season....

Theodore won the Hart and Vezina ...and see what happend to him ..

it's time to play WHO'S THE HOT GOALIE??!? Aebischer is the one right now so you go with him. You don't play favorites...

WAS HUET very good last year?! YES HE WAS AND WE GAVE HIM 3 M $ for that! we don't owe him anything
