Just saying

From what a King fan posted, I thought the Kings wanted immediate top 6 help? Read would contribute right away. That 1st rounder is likely a few yrs away.
Doesn't mean Snow will trade that first for Bernier.

If a guy like Letang, for example, is available and Pittsburgh would actually consider dealing him to the Isles, I'm sure Snow would rather use that pick as part of a package to bring in KL instead of Bernier, who will probably cost less than the 15th overall anyway.

But that means paying him real dollars, no? That is why I am curious of holding some salary. Not sure how this one is going to work.

NYI have a lot of assets to make some moves.

Nope. It doesn't. I hope Snow is kicking plenty of tires.

Ownership is too wealthy to give up an asset just to save nickels on the dollar.

I understand that but that are some big dollars. I guess you guys would know your team the best. I'm sure it will all shake out soon enough.

I wouldnt say sheltered
More they wanted to play Quick due to the shorter season and wanted him ready for the post season. Bernier was put into some tough spots and did fine. Not perfect but goid enough that some Kings fans wanted him to start in game two against the Hawks. (Should have)
Bernier should get a chance to start somewhere and the Kings will try to give home that chance if the price is right

Ya...just to add when Quick was struggling this year there was an outcry from Kings fans on why Sutter didn't play Bernier more.

That's what I feel his value is closer to, the problem is, LA is all gravy for Centers, and to switch Couts to wing wouldn't be maximizing his potential.

I'd wait till Bob wins a playoff game or maybe a playoff series before putting him in the same class as Rask.

I'd wait until Bob plays a full season. he looked awesome during stretches here too when he first came and then teams figured him out. He switched conferences where teams hadnt seen him much. Next year he won't be a secret to any of the shooters there and he'll have to carry the load for a full season playing 60-65 games, not 38.

Cut out Read entirely and offer Giroux for Bernier and Brown.

Just being honest.

Not sure why Flyer fans are thinking they could get Brown. Even on our board Brown has come up a lot.

No way the Kings trade Brown. That would be foolish. A very unique player that would be almost impossible to replace.

Kings fans thinking they're going to get more for Bernier. Matt Read is more than fair value. Hell, that's better than the 2nd and two 4ths the Flyers got for Bob, and he had a year experience as a starter unlike Bernier. Also for the ones who want to nitpick about Read's size, Bernier is no giant himself. Oh well. Go try and find a better return for him. You wont
