I wish I had the motivation to create a PJ Stock compilation of Subban libel from the CBC broadcasts. The have the footage of all their broadcasts on the cbc website.

Sorry but just tired of hearing about "we should of signed PK sooner blah blah"

What ever he gets paid..........there will be 29 other GM's/Owners that would double that payment to have him on their team.

PK = Hab for life.

24 hours or so later, I feel stupid not to have thought of adding this 'Little Man' to celebrate Player 76's rumored success, so here it is:

Nice! Pretty cool to see all of his goals. His slapshot is wicked!

And still only 8.7% shooting pct.
If he could improve this to 12%, it would be great.

He's not going to shoot 12% consistently. Defensemen simply don't convert at that high a rate.

Realistically this is correct, however, an important stat would be hitting the net. With the power he has in his shot, if he hits the net 70-80% of the time it is going to create a lot of rebounds and goals from them.

I'd be curious to see a stat on how many of his assists this year were a direct result of a rebound from his point shot. I bet a large portion of them were.

Thats actually a great sh% for someone mostly doing point shots, it probably won't increase much. As Habsawce noted the best way for him to increase his goal total would be to hit the net more often, or shoot more.

Souray's shot % the year he was a goal scoring machine was 11.6% however so I guess there is room for improvements. Still its mostly a statistic dependant on luck, add 3 goals or remove 3 and that % fluctuates wildly while on the ice its just a few lucky bounces or posts.

Subban did quite well hitting the net this year.

Only 42 missed shots to earn his 126 shots on net.

Compare that to Markov's 34 missed shots for 79 shots on net.

Letang had 37 missed shots for 95 shots on net.

Shooting percentage is the most useless stat in hockey.

What about Karlsson? I'm sure he did better!

True, but it does have some uses. By that I mean determining wether a player has been abnormally lucky or unlucky in a season. An average player that usually shots at 8% and jumps at 16% for a season, doubling his goal totals, didn't magically become a goal scoring machine. He was probably lucky, and is unlikely to repeat the exploit the next year. Meanwhile a player that usually shoots for 10% but only does 7% in a given year didn't become garbage all of a sudden and will most likely bounce back over time. Its a good tool when doing pools, most people just look at the previous season and expect players to continue progressing or regressing assuming the trend that has been going on the past 2 season (or past 10 games, with Leafs fans) will continue.

Comparing shooting % between players of course is completely useless, I agree, since it has almost nothing to do with how well a player shoots.

I usually don't mind, but I don't want to 'share' the same avatar. I got a few ideas that you might like, though. How 'bout 50 Cent?

I can 'shop PK and add the Norris bling ring on one of the fists/hands.

Got another one that I'll dust off. Wait for it...

Yeah he does have great accuracy, that is something I noticed a major change in this year from last year. You also notice that he rarely shoots it if there isn't a lane and doesn't get his shot blocked very often. This could also be because no one wants to step in front of it haha (Tyler Myers?!)

UGH I can't wait till next year!

I think we should all sport a PK Subban "Norris Trophy Winner" "Deal With it" sunglasses avatar. Perhaps with this pic?

or this one:

Or at least that's what I'd want if someone could make it for me, and everyone could use it if they wanted.

Asking to share someone's avatar is like asking to take a bite out of someone else's ice cream cone. There are things you just don't ask...
