Instead of only having 5 wins, we're right around 5th.

I think that's a testament to how well we were playing before, and how much weaker the western conference is this year. Still, we're only 2 games under 500 right now. Remember the year we were 11 games under 500 at one point, yet still made the playoffs? Maybe we can still pull off a dramatic turn around like we did last year. Maybe being the key word.

I really think it's a testament to how easily this team could/should be doing better than it is. Especially with the sked we've had over the last 20.

I think it might show how we've wasted an oppurtunity. However, someone (I think USA today) wrote up the hardest skeds to date, and the Oil had one of the hardest. Somebody posted that a while ago and even had a link. I searched for it, but couldn't find it.

I think we are starting to turn the corner on the season, we have played hard more consistently lately. The only sore spot is the 2 one goal losses to Cowtown. We are still in the hunt, and when and if Nashville, Calgary and Phoenix come back down to life (hopefully), then we can make a drive to get back to where we belong....Post-Season mediocrity.

Thanks for that. And as far as computer problems go, I've been there. One thing I think people really underestimate is toughness of scheduale. It always seems to me our slumps coincide with tough stretches, and our streaks coincide with easy stretches. Although LMHF#1 claims the sked was easy the last 20 games, the link above seems to indicate otherwise.

i thought he was getting excited about it

tough schedule or not its not excuse for the team to go to wonderland once a year which by the way seems to always happen. This team just imo needs two consistent scoring snipers and thats it they can take on almost any team in the league on most nights.

Despite our hard schedule, keep in mind we started off our funk at the beginning of December where we played 6 or so games in a row against very mediocre competition.. while we're playing better now, I'm not even sure we'd have a great record with an easier schedule.
