This is the same reason they can't see past DB.
the Lundqvist situation isn't remotely close to the Crosby/Malkin situations, fortunately for us Pens fans.

Bylsma's presser was even worse than Shero's, and just when it got interesting they stopped it.

I.... I don't know where I put the blame here, but it's hard not to leave most of it on Mario's doorstep.

The "Ron and Mario were 100% supportive of retaining Dan [and didn't even ask for Shero's reasoning, though he had prepared some]" is the most telling part of that 2 hour fiasco.

Calling them human beings is a stretch in many cases.

To be human you have to actually not manipulate other people's perceptions and constantly spin and tell half-truths to make yourself look like something you're not. PR should almost be a crime. It's like an industry of professional liars, but no one does anything about it. Money first, ethics last.

Upper management knows that Crosby and Malkin will sell out seats and win games on their own. Keeping them happy is their number one priority, and apparently, both of those players love DB.

With Bylsma being extended today and not unemployed, look for the NY Rangers to make a decision on their Coach very soon.

Ownership
Shero
Coaching
Players

Although I think the players deserve the least blame, they still get some. All of them.

+ The media asking good questions
- They are learning and they believe
- The fans are idiots
- We just don't get them
- That **** was almost 2 hours

Actually Shero reminds me of exactly the same path that Craig Patrick went down. Every year, he had 4-5 of the league best players and couldn't put together the right mix to challenge for the cup. At the same time, he kept trading away young prospects for crusty vets that never helped. In time, when the stars left, the Pens were the worst team in the league for five years. Shero is doing the same thing. Also, both are opposed to young players, especially tough young players. Tell me where are our tough players at either forward or defense in the system. They don't exist.

Gotta save face.

****ing joke of a day. Not that I expected anything different, it's just a slap in the face when it actually happens like you expect when you expect the worst possible outcome.

**** you, Shero. **** you, Bylsma. **** you, Mario. And **** you, Fleury.

We are family

Everyone can see we're together
As we skate on by
And (Fly) and we fly just like birds of a feather
I won't tell no lie
(All) all of the people around us they say
The Cup it be that close
Just let me state for the record
Bounced but giving love in a family dose

Get up everybody and sing (sing it to me)

Losin' again ain't fun and we've just begun
To lose our share of the world's delights
(High) high hopes we have for the future
But our goal it's not in sight
(We) no we don't get depressed
Here's what we call our golden rule
Have faith in Dan and the things Dan do
You won't go wrong, oh-no
He is our family Jewel

We are family
Get up everybody and sing

That just means Uncle Gary will give us the next generational talent when Crosby and Makin retire.

i could understand retaining the coaching staff if you at least signaled a change in the culture as it regards to accountability. for instance, shero and bylsma couldve answered questions about their roles in this fiasco by saying they didnt do a good enough job. that clearly didnt happen so now we are left with the status quo?

diminished expectations time, i guess. i still think that winning the regular season is the goal in the EPL, not the NHL.

No, this was like getting beaten 6-1 and having Chara skate over your balls just in case you didn't get the message the first time.

If there's any blame for anything, it has to be shared equally.

Players didn't make plays. And if there is a problem, it's on the players, especially the leaders, to voice those concerns.

The coaches didn't adapt.

The GM brings in the players and the coach.

The owners OK every move, and have vetoed/okay'd, demanded moves in the past.
