I wouldn't worry about it. He has plenty of time to recover.

With as weird as last offseason was, it's a wonder there weren't more serious injuries.

I read somewhere that Wilson was 4-6 months- I hope it's not 6, because that would have him missing at least a month of the season........

Is it same shoulder surgery as barkov? Just on both shoulders?

Yes, shoulder stabilization surgery.

Didn't he have the surgery in late March, though? That would put his maximum timetable for return a couple of weeks before training camp, which is about when Rinne's will be.

I wouldn't be too worried about it.

Wilson had one shoulder operated on three weeks ago at the same time as Gaustad, then he hd his other shoulder operated on Monday, which reset his timetable and started it anew...

I've had rotator cuff surgery before and it took me three months to rebound. I think Wilson's was a dislocation right? Not sure how long that takes but I think with the Preds and the money they have they can get the best physical therapists out there. That is what gets you back, the therapy. I think both of them will be fine.

Hey Preds fans, I had this surgery back in October, and it took me (a somewhat in shape high school hockey player) 3 and a half months to recover. I would worry about your elite athlete goaltender not being ready to go. He'll be fully recovered by the end of July. Just my two cents.

Cheers.

It was a little unsettling to see Pekka on crutches at a Preds Foundation grant awards ceremony yesterday. There were around 150 recipients who all had photo ops with him. I kept thinking, should he be standing for well over an hour at the event??? Since he was moving pretty gingerly on the crutches I would have preferred another player handling the PR. Maybe bearing weight is part of his rehab. I just hope he wasn't pushing himself because of his personal involvement with the Foundation and it's recipients like Best Buddies.

Gee, nobody has any chairs? Get two or three and Pekka sits in one.

To be fair if that did happen then it would be all oh no he couldn't even stand on his own. We need to be worried about this. In sure pekka an the team wouldn't risk anything over a little event like this.

Likely this.

My mom just had a hip replacement (obviously far more involved than what Rinne had done). She said the doctors wanted her up and moving within a day or two after the surgery.

In US right now but getting ready to go back to Finland. Then back to US in July for reevaluation. Still on crutches.
