OK Hawks, let's do this. Start of strong and get the first goal.

Who said "calice" and what was the context of using this word?

Not sure who said it (I think Pierre Houde), but it was during a silent part of the introduction or something like that.

Great energy by the Hawks...but the Canucks had the same approach when they faced the Bruins.

He's a liability if you put him with scraps like Drewiske. He was fine with Emelin despite Emelin's struggles to adjust on playing on the right side.

People shouldn't really judge Markov on this season in terms of speed, awareness, and mobility. It's kind of unfair to do so after he barely played over the past couple of seasons.
The positive is that Markov didn't lose his offensive vision or ability to quarterback the point on the PP. His flaws are things he can improve on with training. So I'll be patient.
He also won't have to start the year as a #1 next year, which was pretty stupid to do this season.

Subban would look great in that Chicago lineup.

Bob Cole FTW. Anyways, these guys can't be worse than those at RDS. But I like Houde & Denis together.

To be fair, the Hawks trolled the Canucks for a few years too. The Hawks also played that same way versus the Flyers. Having big Buff helped, as well as Ladd and Brouwer.
But the Hawks are better equipped to play that style. Although it always comes down to skill anyways.

Partially true though. Everyone tries to throw big hits to start off against the Bruins. Pens did it in game 1.
