Not much of a power play and Bruins are so good at blocking shots, it's sick.

Bruins great PK
Hawks horrible PP

The result is the hawks looked like idiots.

Put Subbidoo+Markov on that PP and it's 2-2!

Boston penalty. Chicago getting some golden chances but can't bury them.

I hope Healey gets laryngitis so he does have to call the game anymore.

Hawks should man up and dump and chase. They failed almost all their plays.

Awards:
Keith, while handling the puck and coming in with all the speed he has, passes it off to Toews at the line, who was standing completely still.

You will never enter the zone properly by making a play like that. Never.

My French is very weak, so I guess that's why RDS is my preferred place to watch a hockey game.

Not sure if serious.

Martin was passive on defense. The Bruins are aggressive on defense.

Sure they are clogging up the neutral zone but after that, nothing at all similar.

Chicago's defencemen are sloppy. Not liking their compete level.

A lot of plays where some of the Chicago players need to be charged admission to the game since they are standing around and watching the game go by.

A defensive system always looks better when you have bigger aggressive players. Your defensive coverage will eventually crack when your players are Cammalleri, Gionta, Gomez, Plekanec, Kost, Kovalev. On the back, we were a lot less mobile than Boston too. Gill, Hammer, Spacek, were all slow and a lot less mobile, not to mention old, than what Boston have. Markov was unfortunately almost never present under Martin. PK was our only bright star.

But essentially, like the Bruins, we focused on collapsing in front of our net, blocking passing lanes, keeping shots on the perimeter, and having a fast counter attack.
Boston just have the right players to play that system, and they've had time to perfect it over the years.
