Draft position is irrelevant. Look at McDonagh. He was 12th in his draft year, had a disappointing showing in the minor league, then exploded into the reason Gainey will forever sleep with one eye open. Beaulieu looks to have some incredible potential. Maybe not to the degree of McDonagh, but I am content with finding out.

wtv.. a lot of fans aren't happy with this trade proposal but the way i see it
with all the prospects we have at D. like Thrower, Dietz and Ellis, i think we can certainly take the chance on trading Beaulieu especially for a player that im
sure will have a higher impact on the team like Horvat or Domi. Beaulieu
got good potential and is a risk but with Tinordi in and other pretty solid prospects
pushing up, im sure one of them can break the ice and surprise us to being a lot
better than we expect.
Subban / Tinordi
Emelin / Markov
Diaz / Gorges

beaulieu is something like 6'3. he isn't small. just sayin'

as for op, good offer and value but i'd rather keep brolieu. markov isn't gonna play forever and nate the gr8 is going to be his replacement as i don't think the habs have any other noteworthy guy that could replace markov as our ppqb. diaz maybe...
