Canadiens sign defenseman Davis Drewiske to a two-year contract extension. DETAILS -> http://goha.bs/119EN8A

I'm sure this will ruffle many feathers.

Drewiske's deal with #Habs is good for 625,000$ in 2013-14, and 650,000$ for 2014-15.

I like Davis, but I believe I am in the minority on these boards.

WOOP WOOP!

Everyone hates him but thats how it started with Gorges.
By the end of the year if he stays healthy he will be a fan favourite.

Good. Never understood the hate he got. He was solid, it was Bouillon that helped make him look like ****.

What hate? How can you hate a player that barely played a game for us?

It's Montreal, we hate everyone unless they score 40 goals. Even then, we'll still look for excuses.

Get the feeling we're going to move one of our D. Just a feeling.

Emelin is out for half of next season and I'm not sure Tinordi will get a roster spot for the entire season yet. We'll see. Bouillon is the odd man tho.

He was solid when he was in a lesser role, perfect #7 defenseman and seems like a really good teammate.

Might just be filler as we wait for Emelin to return.

If we are going to compare him to last year's Gorges, isn't that setting the bar a little low?

Keeps some size on defense and not a bad one at that. Good for 6-7 spot and has good Shutdown potential even if he's 28.

Well, he's a good 7th defenseman.

Probably means that Weber is gone imo. Wonder what pick we'll get though.

Might be. But throw Beaulieu in the mix *and* if we add another piece to the D via FA, and you've got a bit of a logjam. Many quality/potential NHLers in that mix.

Not that depth is bad. To the contrary! But like I said, just a feeling.

Josh did have a tough season last year...as he collected his biggest payday... If he would only stop doing interviews, and work on his game...
