Welcome aboard HF!

I was hoping this next season would be his chance to be on the top lines so we could get a sense if he was going to make the NHL.

Thanks for the welcome.

From what I did see of him (regular season and playoffs) I though that he was a solid player. Slightly prone to stupid penalties but has good offense for an enforcer/grinder. Could see him as a possible fourth liner in the future for the Stars.

Agreed, there were some Plymouth fans who thought he was scratched some nights because of how little he was playing in playoffs. Only time I remember seeing him consistently was when Tom Wilson was injured and he took his spot on the powerplay, other than that he was rarely playing.

Is it going to come down to a choice between Reilly Smith and Scott Glennie? They seem to be very similar players who are pure offensive, complementary types and one could be used in a package as trade bait for a center imo.

R.Smith is miles ahead of Glennie, it's not even comparable.

Not to mention Glennie has turned into a checker.

I was thinking the same thing, but I always feel that Glennie is just primed to break out at one point or another. If he still fails to rediscover his scoring touch in the AHL next year, a role as a scoring winger could be done for him.

Saw a few games last year, and he actually looks like a pretty good checker. Was pleasantly surprised. He may make the NHL yet.

Yeah ... once again late in the season (like last year) he really came on strong playing smart defensive hockey. He was a primary PKer for Texas as well.

Sure does suck he hasn't been what we had hoped, but he's moving in the right direction to at least not be a total bust.

Hopefully he can stay healthy and train with Gary Roberts this summer. Last summer he was limited by the wrist injury he sustained in one of the last games of the season.

Sounds like he just needs to find himself a girlfriend and spend a little less time on his own or with Gary Roberts.

I'll wait til Glennie stays healthy (for any reasonable amount of time) before I have any hope in him.

Do you mean "discover his scoring touch in the AHL"?

Rediscover his scoring touch (from the WHL), in the AHL next year. Simply a difference in how you interpret the original sentence, perhaps a comma could have been used for those who did not understand.

So apparently the Canucks had Jack Campbell at #5 on their 2010 draft list.

Check the prospect board I think. Someone noticed their draft list in a video from the team site.

The Cowboys have made the mistake the last 2 years locally.

They were quite a bit higher on Tarasenko than other teams apparently were as well. I love seeing stuff like this.

-Wow, that is the most eye opening thing we've gotten from the Canucks about the draft ever.
-We had Tommernes ranked higher, but decided to skip him to take Hannay. I don't understand this decision.
-Several shocking rankings not using hindsight but what i thought at the draft

That's awesome, really shows that we know nothing. People just go by the Central Scouting/McKenzie's lists, and think that anything actual teams with scouts on payroll do is wrong. Ridiculous.
