Not surprised, he gets 4-6 mil in khl playing top line minutes and would have gotten 1 mil at most in nhl playing 3rd line minutes or even less. He is only 25 so still time for him. Maybe he plans to come over @27 year old ufa?

The difference is more then 10 cm / 4 inches in height and about 15 kg / 33 lbs in weight. Ericsson got NHL size. Pettersson doesnt, but other than that both are skilled and gritty. I would say Ericsson is more of a leader also. If my memory doesn't fail me I think he has been weighing in on over 100 kg/222 lbs during his good years (now its 96/212).

Btw: The guy was concidered promising until he was around 30 years old. Then it was discovered that he had some kind of asthma and when he got medication for that he improved greatly over a summer. I'm not sure this is 100 % truth but it's a rumour I've heard.

Jimmie was always considered a talent, but it never quite seemed like he made any progress at all. He seemed to not take his preseasons seriously, and he was rarely visible in games. Sure, you'd see glimpses of the true Jimmie at times, but that was so rare that most fans had probably given up on him for quite a while. I think that the asthma definitely played a part in it all, but that he also somehow changed a lot of his mindset as well.

I hope he takes the chance to play in the NHL. He's 33, and he'll never get that offer again. He's proven his qualities in Sweden, and I'd love to see how he tackles the NHL.

Unknown Swedish heading to Vancouver

Christian Folin .
So, a new Swedish NHL-export hot.
Or rather it is highly likely. Recent data MrMadhawk.se obtain through the evening and night reveals that Folin, who spent the last three seasons in North America, the latest of college and NCAA team UMass-Lowell has an NHL deal extremely close. Allegedly Ottawa previously shown interest. But now it's about another Canadian team, namely the Vancouver Canucks. Folin should be close to signing a two-way contract over two years. What's interesting here is that this is a player who never played in the top division either or headlines. As thus is very close to sign an NHL contract. now it will probably be mostly AHL games for the 22-year-old Swede. But he will of course get the chance to show off in front of club management during camp and during a friendly match, on the same terms as the other. , it is not entirely clear. However, one is very close to a deal. It is quite an advanced stage. Folin has reportedly hesitated on whether he wanted to interrupt their college studies, but now it seems to stand the case. And who had not done it for a NHL contract? Although it is a two-way contract.
Poorly translated

Yeah, something must have happened.

I hope he makes it aswell. Jimmie and Mikael Lindgren (yes, Mikael) have been two of my biggest favorites during the years.

Andrei Kostitsyn signed 1-year extension with #Traktor of #KHL as per club exec
Also the Folin rumors were just rumors, he's stated he wants to stay in school another season.

Been quiet since that last week's "3 teams East, 2 West, Dallas isn't involved".

Rangers were intrested and he was also thinking of signing with Traktor Tšeljabinsk, because his buddy Kontiola plays there.
This was some time ago. Haven't heard of him for a while.

Joacim Eriksson in talks with NHL-clubs per his agent. I expect him to sign a deal.

I really hope he'll come to NYR. We need a legit goalie in the system badly.

Probably with 29 of the 30 teams.

Any bets on which he might not be talking to?

blick had it wrong, Suri signed a one-year ELC for next season (2013/2014) but will play in Switzerland. So the Bolts just secured his rights for the next 3 years.

Color me shocked

Good for Suri, though. It seems like I have a ton of crow to eat after that WC. Not that I'll complain
