Huge hit!

Was it called interference?

Couldn't have...Cuz if you look at Hamel, he tried to play the body too. They can't call body-to-body interference.

True. Had Hamel continued towards the boards, rather attempt to collide with the Kraken, it would have been interference I think. Hitting a little late after the dump.

That hit is awesome.

No, Hamel played the puck past phaneuf. Until someone else touchs the puck he is still considered the puck carrier. Clean hit.

It was a great hit. I just saw it on a replay. I had to laugh when the other TSN analysts were poking fun at McGuire afterwards.

Hamel is from Lachute, my hometown, so I can't be happy with the hit. But geez, that must have hurt.

Doesnt even compare Phaneuf and Komisarel..

Phaneuf is bigger, stronger, better, faster, smarter and sexier.

Comparing them is like comparing a prime Ray Borque to Patrick Traverse.

man...wished the habs had a Phaneuf...
They were one pick away from getting him. Calgary picked ninth and got Phaneuf, Montréal picked tenth and got Kostitsyn. No contest there.

Komisarek's biggest hits have been against the boards. He'll have to get the knack of open ice hits, like Phaneuf and Scott Stevens.

Phaneuf is way better, but this last sentence is hyperbole to the extreme. Phaneuf is nowhere near a prime Ray Bourque, and Komisarek is better than Patrick Traverse even dreamed of ever being.

As for sexier, where's the Aki Berg option?

Actually you are wrong. Phaneuf is 6'2 200, while Komisarek is 6'4 235-245.

Sexier? Was that a Freudian slip, or are you a girl?

And to think we missed him by one pick.

Calgary 9th pick 2003 Phaneuf
Montreal 10th pick 2003 Kostitsyn
