Apparently I'm 35% in already...felt like I just started and then next thing you know nearly 5 hours had passed.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm 7 hours in (56%) and wish it was longer. I have no idea how I played for 7 hours though - very rarely can I play a game for that long.

I was about 30% in before I remembered you can intiate longer conversations with your companion. So I probably missed a lot of cute, funny, or cool dialogue - but I'll get it on the next playthrough.

I enjoy the combat. It's not sophiscated or complicated - but it's not supposed to be. It's supposed to be fast, furious, and fun transition into the next piece of story-telling.

Not too far into the game, but I really like how everything has a weight to it.

Uncharted had the same "weight" system in place.
Weirdly enough, I feel this game has a bit more weight. I also feel how it moves from strafing to back pedaling and turning around feels way more natural.

Ah, I see! I'm at 28%... I had the game on all day but I didn't actually have the chance to play it much.

I didn't want to play multi-player incase some ****** ruined the story.

Uncharted 3 multiplayer was fun, so hopefully this is too.

I haven't felt any similarities between this and the UC series except some of the graphics.

If I had to pick a game that it reminded me the most (atmosphere/ true survival horror) of it would be RE2.

The combat experience is very different from any TPS I have ever played. I'm already dreading my survivalist and survivalist+ runs because of the small room for error.

I'm playing hard also, it's not the enemy AI per-say it's the damn allie's AI. I'll be in cover, and they will run out of cover and i'll expect the enemy to go for them... and they don't...

Also sometimes when i'm aiming they run in my line of sight. Better in slightly more open areas though.

If I wasn't prepared for it by all of the reviews I'd probably be griping a bit about there being so little concern for the ally AI. Half the time they're crouching in the open while no worry is paid to them.


On the flip side if they had to stay perfectly hidden at all times the game would be practically unplayable. It's a similar gripe to Bioshock: Infinite with Elizabeth...it takes you out of the game slightly, what with the bad guys almost completely ignoring them, but the flip side is way worse. I've broken controllers on escort missions before...I have no desire to play a 15 hour-long escort mission.

Ah, yeah. The ally AI isn't the greatest. But I can't think of too many games, like this, where the ally AI is really all that good.

Uncharted - you don't really know how good the AI is because in that game you had to kill everyone.

That's my only gripe with this game. I love everything else.

But I was also prepared for it from other ally games. It sucks, but I'd much rather the story then some wonky AI every time. Hopefully as we move to next gen, it gets better.

Right now the game is a 9/10 for me. The ally AI is pretty annoying in some parts. But the story has me captivated. Very rarely do you get a story this good in video games.
