Wonderful. Hopefully this means some team will make him a great offer and Shero won't be able to resign him. I love Duper, don't get me wrong, but I don't want to see him on Sid's wing, and as long as he's on this team and Byslam is coach that's where he'll be. Great guy, good hockey player ... Hope this turns into a great opportunity for him and his family.

Kunitz got like tenth. A bit surprising there.

Dupuis finished higher then Hossa in the voting. Hossa was 10th.

13th to be exact.

Crosby was 15th, while Jordan Staal was 29th.

That is a joke to some degree. Definitely would not put Kopitar, Backes, McClement ahead of him. The others you can argue deserve the award as much or more. Truthfully I'd give it to Datsyuk every season he did not have a **** year. He's in a class of his own IMO.

Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis

the ultimate shutdown line, how did anyone manage to score against 3 of top 15 defensive forwards in the game

oh wait, most of the bottom-ballot votes for the Selke are just "take a look at the +/- leaders and throw em a bone."

Are those media votes? Crosby should not be on that list. Guessing those are all Pittsburgh media people.

Also, Bergeron lost because he was completely left off of several ballots. Are you ****ing kidding me?

Don't think so. Most of them posted their ballots and I don't recall seeing Crosby on any of them for the Selke.

So people complain about ray Shero winning an award and you tell them to lighten up, he was deserving, Crosby finishes 15th in voting, some 1200pts behind the winner, and he's undeserving?

Okay

Though the list is crap I do agree he is top 10 in the league. Not top 5 but top 10.

Any insight from the faithful why Jordan Staal was #29?

Probably because of how Carolina finished.

Carolina was horrible. How many of these selke candidates came from horrible teams?

Okay
Fail to see the inconsistency. I don't consider Crosby to be that strong of a two-way player that he'd be Top 15 in the league. He can be at times, but not consistenty and from year to year. Not saying it'll never happen, either. Also saying name a GM who gave his team a better shot to win the Cup based on his actions from pre-season through Game 48 or whatever it was.

Crosby is an elite 2-way player and I can't possibly see how an elite 2-way player receiving 5 Total Votes, none first place could be seen as unreasonable or undeserving.
