Markov Struggling On D

Is it just me or is God Markov struggling with his defence.I know he is having a solid year so far offensively, but to me he is turning over the puck and has been about as good as Niinima or Dans. Can you guys give me your opinion on this.Maybe it's just me.If were out of playoff contention by the deadline should we trade him?

Well, all the **** you will get for starting this thread is going to be well deserved.

P.S. This is with our team winning, just imagine what we'll see here once we lose a couple in a row.

Ya I'm sure some people will get all riled up, just ignore them.

Anyway, I would agree that he struggled against Buffalo. He was actually pretty bad in that game. He was better against Toronto and like I said, I thought he played good against Philly. Certainly not at his best but good. Him and Komisarek (hoping Carbo keeps them together) will be a great pairing for us.

guys, he is usually rock solid...what was our record without him last year, 3-13? The one thing I would like to see him do more of, is shoot the puck from the point on the PP...he always tends to set someone up with a fine pass, sometimes it works..sometimes it doesn't...He will be OK guys, I think you will see him with a big game tonight vs the Sens.

He's not moving his feet when he gets the puck in our end. And he's not creating in the offensive end.

He'll get it in gear. He's too talented to play like this the whole season.

I suppose he has gotten off to a slow start, but it's too early to get alarmed/

Its funny... he hasn't played very well I agree but he still has 3 assists in 3 games. Shows the type of talent Markov has... still putting up points but not playing particularly well

Overall, he was still our best defender.

In our zone, I would have to say Komo has been the top guy, almost mistake free,

but all around, markov is still the man even when he is off his game

I remember last year he had a slow offensive start, was it 2 points in 15 games? After that he almost kept a point per game average.

Very early in the season BUT
So far I have watched every minute of every game and I agree . Markov is looking pretty bad. No need to panic but yes, horrid defensive playing especially game 2 against laffs
