How ironic is it that a move patented by a Swedish player is now used by a Finnish player?
Just a minor nitpick, but it was actually Tommy Salo who made a save to win the gold medal for Sweden.

I'm talking about a breakaway in OT. And still, it won't be the same pressure.

yeah, instead of pressure, you've got defensemen chasing you.

Not necessarily...

Penalty shot in OT. Game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Flyers bring him back...and Handzus does it again.

Anyone remember that goal? Penalty shot in OT vs NYR and Zues got it. I was there. Sick game!

Q: You intend to stay with Flyers now (meaning or is this a last stint before you retire)
A: Well, yes, this time I made sure I got a no trade clause.

One can wonder how the Philly organization would have looked if they had kept Forsberg.

a. Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs: "Hyde noted the irony of Ireland's copying the nation she most hated" Richard Kain.

The point the original poster is trying to make is that a Finnish player copied the move of a Swedish player, considering the rivalry those two teams have, there is irony in the sense of one copying the other.

The organization wouldn't look any different, but I think there would be a couple more colourful banners in the rafters at the Wach.

Don't get me wrong. FOrsberg's goal is AMAZING but Datsyuk has won this one. I used to watch the Forsberg goal over and over again and thought it was amazing every single time. Until I saw the Datsyuk goal. I think Datsyuk made Vokoun throw up that night. DATSYUK HAS THE BEST SHOOTOUT GOAL EVER. But FOrsberg is still better.

I agree, that is by far my favourite breakaway goal of all time.

That's really the only way of describing it.
