Then he is gutless, I'd never want him on my team. Most players are hurt in the SC from battling all season, and I'm sure a few Bruins and Hawks will have surgery not to long after the SC.

So now Q has come out and said Hossa is "likely" to play in Game 4.

Which means absolutely nothing to me because Hossa was also "likely" to play in Game 3 until 10 minutes before the game.

6 current Bruins players are in the top 20 in the NHL all time Playoff statistics in +/-, wowzers. Lucic in 8th is kinda hilarious.

There's a diary type thing from Bryan Bickell on nhl.com that I heard about this morning where he said this about Hossa:

"But, Hossa came into the room about 10 minutes before we were going on the ice and addressed the team, basically telling us that he was sorry, but he didn't feel he could be an effective player for us Monday night because of his injury."

Sounds like Hossa just wasn't comfortable playing in his condition...

I think it's a huge testament to how great this team really is. I read somewhere last night (how does a team almost losing the ECQF come this far to be playing in the SC). This is exactly how. They play great together and when their playing well the make very few mistakes.

Right, Hossa, the guy that played in three straight Stanely Cup Finals and in four Cup Finals in the past seven years, is a softie that doesn't play hurt.

Sorry, but that's bull****.

So if Hossa is hurt and doesn't feel he can actually play that makes him gutless?

IMO it would show he puts team first and doesn't want to hold back his teammates being unable to play effectively

Hossa needs to sack up if he wants to keep this run alive.

I said it was my speculation. And I'm glad I was wrong if it means he gets to come back sooner.

There is a difference between being hurt and being injured. If you can't play hurt you are gutless. This is the finals, how many players on each team are hurt? a lot of them.

Not that I think Hossa is "gutless" to begin with, but this photo does nothing to disprove that theory anyway. Standing in front of a backhand attempt? That's child's play.

Pitt fans think the series is boring and that its getting to the point where they may take their giant market to some other sport that doesn't want them. Another built in excuse for the impending bandwagon jumperofferers. I can't stand that franchise, bunch of clown whine bags. Seems like everyone outside of Montreal, Pitt and Vancouver (the Axis of Whine) is loving it. Numbers are high and whichever way it goes, most people consider those first two games instant classics. Its been a war of skill and attrition and heart over whining and diving.

Same Amonte who made the idiotic remarks about Crosby a few weeks back ,, No story to see

Amonte has been bitter ex-player for a few years now

This series has already set hockey back 20 years and I shutter to think what seven games would do.

NHL.com only goes back to the mid 90s for career statistics.

http://www.hockey-reference.com/lead..._career_p.html

There's the full list but even they only have playoff plus/minus from 1984 on so it's not really an all time list.
