Picking up Allison beneficial to Samsonov?

We've all heard the Eklund and Code rumors about the Habs being interested in Allison so let's try to put it into context. Seems as though the two had chemistry in Beantown:

Alisson is now one of the slowest players in the NHL. I dont want this team to be slowed down. There is a reason why Toronto didnt resign him.

Sure they had chemistry but would Bob choose to slow down the Habs overall speed that much just to add a centre who HAD chemisty with Samsonov. I would hope not.
I think Plekanec will do very well in that role when he starts to relax and play his game rather than looking to be extra fancy and making one too many passes!

No thanks - The Canadiens already have plenty of large orange pylons for Samsonov to skate around during pratice.

I refuse to take a player rejected by Toronto in my club.
They are the one taking our rejected players (Kilger).

Why are you surprised that it's taking a fan of Jason Allison a long time to arrive, apparently he's just as slow as his namesake.

hmmmmmmm....60 points in 66 games last season and still jobless a week after the season starts, there's a reason why.
He must be rejecting all those other offers waiting for Bob to give him a contract, they just can't decide on how many years.Bob wants to give him a 10 year contract, Allison only want 3 though.

serioulsy, the guy's just a bigger, whiter version of Ribeiro.

Well, he would be nice to have on the powerplay, but theres no way he would fit under the cap.

At 1 million a year he could be a great assets on the powerplay...

But no way, the second line isn't so bad at all...I mean, yesterday Samsonov gets the tying goal and same for Kovalev the game he score..

Right now, there is no way I'd want to see Allison on our team. He doesn't really have a spot to fit in, and I'd rather see the development of a player like Plekanec in an offensive role. If our second line can't do anything by the midway point of the season however, my opinion could change.

The thing is that with him, Plekanec is now on the 4th with Tender and Bégin and I dont think its a good thing for his future to play 2 year in a row on the 4th line to half of the year

Otherwise I would take the gamble on him. A Kovy - Allison - Samsonov may be scary as hell

At this point in time, the 2nd line looks already horrible defensively and frankly i doubt it can much much worse than that.

Samsonov - Allison - Kovalev looks scary good offensively down low. And Allison would provide an immediate improvement in our 2nd PP which would be welcome at this point.

The most attractive part in my eyes would be the improvement coming from Plekanec going back to the 3rd line.

Perezhogin - Plekanec - Johnson
Begin - Bonk - Latendresse

Those 2 lines are much better than the current 3rd and 4th line.
___________

Of course, the potential of total "dysfunction" of that 2nd line is there. I would stay away from Allison unless the $ is very low, so the risk isnt high.

I don't know if Kovalev is hurt but he really need to take step his play a little better, is not horrible 1-2-3, but he made so many bad and swollen pass... Otherway he control the puck so well and his wirst shot is amazing, USE IT MORE...

BTW, Samsonov goal is so cool, If take it on my PC, he was accelerating and the control of the puck was !

I don't know what to do for motivate those two...Give them an AK47 to plays with?

Before made a signature like that, I'm sure Carbo gonna try if the second doesnt increase there plays, he'll try to switch Ryder-Sammy or Higgins-Sammy. May be just to put Johnson on the second line.

The only thing I don't like this year, is tho see Perezhogin on the third line, he do an amazing job but I think he deserve a top-6 spots because with more then 20 minutes of ice time, he can do a 20-25 and 50 seasons.
