Anybody voted for Baseball Coach and Lafleurs Guy? They deserve to go in just for the length of their posts and the countless debates. Epic Stuff.

There are a couple guys that have gone out of their way to help me out.

MiG, Lshap, Blou and several others have allowed me to tweet their pics and have even produced photoshops on request. Hell, a few times I was sent a PM with a photoshop included. Which means these fine gentlemen went out of their way to produce a quality 'shop without having to be asked. Gotta love that. Not many people would take an hour or two our of their day to help out an anonymous poster on a message board, but our fantastic group of artists have done this repeatedly in the past.

Also, member with the handle GHF377 (http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/member.php?u=119349) gave me a free ticket to a playoff game this year. How amazing is that? A complete stranger, that could have made money, instead decided to give away his ticket to a fellow fan.

I don't know why people vote for mods. 99 times out of 100 they are the most neutral boring people ever. That's not negative in itself but in a vote for whoever is best situation they shouldn't be getting that many votes. That was my controversial opinion #203.
Thanks, man.

Ohashi Jouzhu - Knowledgable, level-headed poster who has the rare ability to disagree with someone and not piss them off or come across as condescending. I apologize about the spelling in advance!

McPhee - A very good source for habs history, and I like his sense of humor. I wish he would come around more often

DaveDave - I haven't seen him forever, but he was very knowledgeable and always kinda flew under the radar.

Jee/Seb - We've had alot of debates, alot of them have nothing to do with hockey, and their avatar contributions have to be mentioned

Moen in Glory - The king of the GIF . This is a better place with MIG

Blind Gaurdien - Similar to Ohashi. I've never seen him lose it on anyone, very respectful, and very knowledgeable. Although, I don't see him as engaged anymore since he became a mod.

Vlad the Impaler - I don't even know if he was/is a habs fan, but always enjoyed his avatar, and his ability to disect the habs from a seeimingly neutral standpoint. I wish he would post more too

Habs - A consistently polarizing figure on these boards. I didn't really like him in the earlier days But he has never changed his stripes from day one, and whenever I browse through a thread, I cant help but read through his posts. Agree or disagree, you'll have no problems figuring out which side of the fence he is on.

WaffleDave - I still remember your japanese animation with kovy's head in it as an avatar Its not the only reason I voted for you, but its probably the most memorable

Montreal - There is no better source for me to read up on prospects around here than him

Sorry if some of these names seem obscure. Blame that on the fact that I'm ancient around here.
Well, I didn't expect to see my former name (never mind the new one -- chosen because, you know, a souffle is full of hot air) appear in this thread. But thank you.

I can actually say with sincerity that my list would have included you, as well as others on your list. To me, while guys like Vlad and Mike8 and montreal and turnbuckle are great, the very best is and has always been Blind Gardien.

He (I presume) can be so persuasive, but always in a way that invites you to reflect and add to the discussion. That's rare on the internet, where the preferred syllogism is: I am right; you are wrong; therefore I win. Also, he is a master of using emoticons judiciously to deliver a disarmingly powerful opinion -- e.g.,

There are others who should be mentioned. For every Lemieux, there's an Oates or a Gartner who should be recognized as great, eventually.

I admit that I post much less frequently than I use to, which was never that frequently anyway, because I find I that kill threads or go ignored. That's not a complaint, just an observation. And that's why I recognize Blind Gardien as the greatest of the greats, because his manner is such that his posts just cause hockey discussion (as opposed to somewhat pleasant but pointless banter) to flourish.

Very nice list. Beaker's posts were awesome. Reading McPhee & Le Gros Bill go back and forth was great as well. I don't post or get into conversations too often but I take time to read most threads and there are a lot of great posters here.

In no particular order,

Whitesnake – Like everyone else, I enjoy reading his posts. Too bad he’s wrong about Carey Price... I'm actually surprised he's not a mod.

Mathman (don’t be so shocked) yes Mathman. He always brought something to the debate - in our 50 page debates - and I don’t ever remember him crossing the line in terms of being disrespectful. He was a great poster... too bad he’s wrong on just about everything including Scott Gomez's CORSI.

Lshap
– Not only is he among the most respected members of our board, he’s respected on other teams’ boards as well and that is no easy feat.

Wethreekings – Solid poster who’s made me laugh on more than a few occasions. Besides, he's one of the few that laugh at my jokes.

DAChampion – Anybody who’s ready to rebuild (or at least was) is alright in my book. Many sound arguments as well.

McPhee – What happened to him? I’m pretty sure he and Whitesnake are the same person.

I actually really enjoy reading the mods posts – Overlords has made me laugh out loud on a few occasions and definitely gets a vote from me. BG, CS, HG, H10H... all those guys are fun to read.

There's tons of guys that I like to read and I'm sure I've forgotten a ton of them but the above posters stick out in my mind.

For those that voted for me, thanks. Personally I’m shocked as I would’ve thought that I’d pissed everyone in this forum off about a thousand times.

But I think there should be a clause that you can’t get voted in if you post the same thing 10,000 times so that excludes me right off the top.

1. E= Ch2

Forms his own opinions, isn't afraid to go against the grain and most of the time he's right.

2. Dr Gonzo

Great poster, I tend to find my opinions align with his.

3. millertime

see E = ch2

4. whitesnake

a wealth of knowledge

5. WeThreeKings

I don't always agree with him, but his posts are generally well thought out and you understand his reasoning.

6. coldplay

Gotta love a guy who will back Scotty until the end

7. Ohashi
Very infromative, articulate and has great knowledge for the history of the game

8. Talks to Goalposts

My new favorite poster, brings an element to the boards that is sorely needed

9. Mathman

Never around anymore, but he was a great poster.

10. Agnostic

Normally a very good poster, sometimes gets carried away with everything Carey Price.
