I believe as the golfers would say "he lipped out on a 1 foot putt"

That was the worst 30 seconds of a period in a stanley cup game I've ever seen. Chicago just dared them to tie it up and if not for the horn, Boston would've.

What's dangerous about Boston is how they could turn on a relentless forecheck with the flip of a switch. Toronto found that out the hard way, and we might see that again in today's game.

So jealous that Boston and Team Canada have this guy. Would kill to have a guy like that on the Kings. The most complete player in the NHL. Just brings it every night in all three zones. Just scores big goal after big goal after big goal.

Did the Kings have the scouting report that says Crawford's glove hand sucks?

Yeah but the Kings weren't too interested in getting pucks on net.

And looks like Jagr still has some gas left in his tank.

K17,

I was not really impressed with the Kings advanced scouting or in game coaching in these playoffs, especially in the Chicago series. Like I said in the earlier post, the Kings played right into Chicago's hands with how we ran the PP and other facets of the offensive game. It was frustrating because during the 2012 playoffs I thought the Kings had great strategies on getting by their opponents, in particular Vancouver. This season I think Sutter was largely outcoached, especially in the SJS and Chicago series.

As much as we all ragged on Jamie Kompon, his forwards were much better in last years playoffs than Payne's were in this years. I am a fan of Sutter and a really big fan of Stevens, but Payne left a lot to be desired.

The Kings didn't play anywhere near as fast as they did in the 2012 playoffs. That was one of the things that was most noticeable to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Kings do out of the gate with a full training camp under Sutter.

Wow. I think Crawford has one of the worst glove hand in the NHL. Boston has five goals and all are glove side.

5-5 with 6 minutes to go in the third.

Glove side again. I think all Bruins goals were glove side tonight.

You guys notice how many goals in this game originated from point shots? Hope the Kings clue in on this. Only Voynov was able to get his shots through from the point during the playoffs.

So that's what the Kings needed to do to beat Crawford, go glove side.

Pierre brings up a great point, Boston can confidently sound out their 4th line in the final 2 minutes of a tied game, and they nearly score a goal.

Could you imagine Clifford or Fraser out there in a tied game in the final 2 minutes.

During the Cup run last year they were.....

The fourth line was not effective this year, I expect Sutter to change that.

The fourth line was one reason the Kings gave teams problems last year.

Not so much this year, but that will change. Guys will be playing for jobs this coming season.

Well I am hoping next year the 4th line is something like King-Stoll-Nolan, that would be a really solid 4th line. Our 4th line in 2012 had an identity, this year it was stiffs like Clifford and Nolan turning the puck over and taking dumb penalties.

I hope you are right, guys like Nolan, Clifford and Fraser should absolutely be fighting for jobs, they were terrible this year.

Seabrooke does it again. Rask caught leaning.

Still like Boston in this series.

Fraser does not have a contract past next season, Clifford will know he has to bring more, Nolan will be fighting for a contract.

Anderoff is waiting for a shot and could push one of those guys out.

The Fourth line is going to have quite the competition.

Fraser just had his second child as well, he will be pretty motivated to stay out of the AHL.
