I've got to say that DiVaio has really impressed me this season.

Michael Essein would be that #10 box to box midfielder we've been missing though, and he's just 30 years old so there's a lot of futbol left in him.

I was at the stadium and man, the first half was absolutely amazing. Paponi was everywhere in the first 10-15 minutes. The assist by Bernier was a thing of beauty. He's a ****ing boss out there. Just so calm and in control. Same for Nesta and Ferrari.

Just an amazing team. It certainly has the skill to go far.

At the game as well, really good. Probably the best game i've been to.

Soo many missed chances, if more converted the score would be closer to 8-3.

Camara and Bernier really impressed me with their fancy ball control. Nesta did his thing with (usually) minimal effort.

Paponi and Di vaio really work well together, and Nyassi complemented himself well alongside, in a makeshift 4-3-3.

My next game is July 27th. Can't wait!

It wasn't the first time and he wasn't as bad as usual, he even made a few good crosses.

I still don't like him much though haha

Who? Nyassi?

Next game I'm hoping for Pisanu on the right with Smith on the left followed by Romero.

I hate saying this but Nyassi drives me crazy. He has NO finish.. like... none AT ALL. He has NO IDEA what to do once he's near or in the box. So frustrating.

It was hard to judge him last year coming when the season was already underway and the fact that he had played in Seria A. He wasn't as fresh as he is now

Nyassi played much better last game. He had some good crosses in the 2nd half.

Pisanu was a bit disappointing but he's coming back from an injury so he might not be 100%.

Our best lineup imo is Romero on the left and Mapp on the right. Deadly!

Pisanu's runs were understandibly lathargic but his crosses were bang on.

Anyone know what's going on with Del Piccolo? His two weeks trial is over.

Pisanu and Romero are very different players, one quick and shifty, the other more steady and pass oriented. It's great that we have so many different looks at winger this year with Smith, Romero, Pisanu, Mapp, and Nyassi. We can really mix and match to disrupt the opposition.

The advantage of being at the game is that I got a wider view than the cameras give, what I mean is they multiple times throughout the game, when the formation was high and stretched, Nyassi would stay up alongside Paponi and Marco.

Hence the "makeshift" 4-3-3 (or perhaps 4-1-2-3). They seemed to trust the D and Mid enough to win the ball and cross up accurately, which they usually did.

His runs and crosses were pretty good, but yes, his finishing was mostly as bad as ever.

I was at the game as well in the 132.

Great game. Might have been Felipe's best game this season. Bernier was a beast and the D was solid for the most part.

Also went to watch the Brazil v. Mexico game at a bar on Mont-Royal Av. in the afternoon and Eduardo Sebrango was there. I didn't go talk to him though since Mexico was being dominated and I didn't know if he speaks french or english and my spanish sucks.

Anyway, very fun day!

Anyone going to SS tomorrow for the Impact U21 vs Haiti game? I'm thinking about going, unless something comes up in the mean time.

Is this game televised or perhaps live streamed?

There are 2 surprising things with tonight's game betweeh Impact U21 and Haiti national team

1) Impact are charging for attendance? Normally U21 and reserves team games are free

2) Haiti national team is ranked 59th? better than Canada? lol

With the bad temperature, I decided not to go. The price also helped me make my decision, wasn't aware of the fact it was 15$ lol.
