If available, why you we pass on the physically imposing 6'5" center to go for someone else? Montreal fans have been complaining that we don't have a big center for so long and this would be the perfect time to get one.

Because we have a good deal of potential centers while we lack top 6 wingers Erne is a good pick to fill that need

I'm not saying Erne isn't a good pick (although I would be absolutely shocked if he made it this far) and I wouldn't have a problem with taking him if available but with this scenario there's a chance at a large bodied 2-way Center to complete the Chucky/Eller duo.

This draft is loaded with wingers and although they may not be as talented as Erne is right now, I'm sure a handful of them will develop well.

For the Habs, I'd think Gauthier, Compher, and Hagg is a great haul. Tough to pass on Hartman, but it's a great group, and Gauthier I think would be the best pick of those available at his spot in this mock.

For the Jackets, I'm really tired of seeing Mueller drafted just because he once played with Murray. That's a terrible reason to draft someone, and Mueller played better after Murray's injury.

I like Compher for the Habs. The rest? Not so much.

Also remember that a lot of centers drafted will turn to wing in the pros and that they just often times have more defense awareness than the wingers in jr's

If Lazar is there are #15 I will (attempt to) do back flips. I would also be very pleased with Horvat, Mantha, or Gauthier.

Calgary would have to think hard to pass up Gauthier and so would toronto but even if they do and decide to go with Pulock and Fucale respectively there's no way Gauthier makes it past Vancouver IMO

Love most of this draft from a Buffalo perspective. The only pick I would change is 38 to Dauphin or Carrier.

Colorado has said they are not planning on taking Seth Jones, so your #1 pick is quite unlikely. They are more likely to nab Nathan MacKinnon who is currently ranked #1 by ISS.

Also I doubt Phoenix would pass on Max Domi. Max is the son of Tie Domi, who played for the franchise back in 1992-95. I've seen a number of mock drafts that suggest he will go to Winnipeg who has the very next pick. But they forget that the Coyotes are the franchise that used to be the Jets that Tie Domi played for, the new Jets are the Thrashers, they have no ties to his family.

I would be shocked if the Canucks took WHL kids with early picks. They have had zero success drafting from this league and have shied away lately. I would bet, and I'd certainly hope, that they steer clear of the 'dub' in favor of the OHL, and the college system, places where they have been able to find real players lately.
