Cory Conacher

29 points in his rookie season, feisty and is somewhat of a pest. What would you give for him?

What does Ottawa want? I'd love him in New Jersey.

Sens fans grossly under value him. Next year when he has a full camp and adapts to the system they will start to get it !!!

If CC is moved, I hope it's for a scoring winger or for Dan Boyle. He's good, I find he flops a lot though. I hope he's not gonna be a diver if we keep him. We'll have to attach electrodes to him and give him a good, solid shock ever time we see him dive.

I'm curious what the Sens would want from Buffalo for him. Not sure it's wise to bring in another undersized player (though Gerbe should be kicked out the door), but I like his game and there's not much harm in bringing in a talented player while the rebuild gets underway. Not to mention he went to college here.

I feel like the Sens won't get enough return to really make it worth not seeing what he can bring. If he's not bringing anything more back than what he fetched Tampa Bay is it really worth it?

I suppose it'd be worth it if he brings in the right vet, which Buffalo likely doesn't have. Drew Stafford for Conacher as basis?

Who's responsible for breaking Volchenkov? Us or NJ?

Or...to be more polite, on whose watch did it happen?

Sens have 0 need for Stafford. It would be Conacher+ for Vanek.

Didn't hurt to try. Stafford is a hot potato here in Buffalo.

I have no issues trading Vanek to Ottawa where I said earlier on our board I think he'd be a great fit. Conacher as the centerpiece is a bit meh though.

New Jersey. He literally fell off a cliff overnight.

He's still a serviceable player. A decent PK specialist, but he's a bottom pairing player and atrocious at ES.

We specialize in taking solid, reliable defenders and turning them into subpar cap-killers once they leave (Redden, Volch, Mezaros). Backfired with Chara though.

I think Conacher's value would be that of a 2nd rounder.

I suspect the Sens will try and package Conacher with the 17th pick (and perhaps other assets) to try to move up in this draft. As a Sens fan - I like Conacher's game and I hope he plays with the Sens next season, but I suspect he's being dangled in a possible deal. He's not really a Murray type player IMO.

Would be stupid to trade Conacher considering he hasn't played a full season here yet and has showed promising potential! Will be interesting to see if he flops or plays solid next season after getting accustomed to a new system the past few months.
