one of the following I think is decent value wise, I'm sure neither fan base wants to give up their guy though.
Zibanejad + 13th overall for 7th overall + Pajaarvi + Musil + Ana 2nd
I don't think the Sens would do it. Zibanejad is most likely close the the center prospects at the 7th pick. Zibanejad is more developed though and has played will in the NHL so that is just not the risk imo.
Then 13th for Pajaarvi who is most likely going to just be a bottom 6 guy his career. I'm not very sold on Musil either. Then it's a very late 2nd that is a total gamble if they become anything.
If the top forwards are all gone by 7th, Jones is left. You should at least know what the top 7 players likely are before throwing out outlandish claims.
In regards to the trade, Im not sure. I think both teams say no. Edm because the 7th pick is likely the best player in the trade, and theyre not giving up prv that easily . Ott because they developed Zib already (less risk), and he fits their team well.
I wouldn't be so quick to brush this proposal off. Unlike 99% of folks on here, I'm a big proponent of quality for quantity trades. This is a trade that I would only do on draft day after seeing who is left when Edmonton goes on the clock. If one of the top guns is still available at #7, then I just might pull the trigger.
Zibby is a good all-around player, no doubt, but not a sniper. This trade would give us a shot at such a player and more. Pajaarvi could be just as valuable under a different system and with the guidance of PM. The rest of the trade is just gravy.
