I am just astounded by the level of physical effort that these two teams (particularly the Bruins) are giving in the SCF. I am exhausted just watching them.

This series has been amazing so far. I almost always root against Boston sports teams. The Bruins are an exception. Hope to see it go to the seventh game.

The Flyers have become the new Rangers of the NHL in terms of contracts.

Bruins looking good;Blackhawks not so much. As I watch these SC games I wonder if the Jackets can match the physicality of Boston when they make the playoffs. Right now I see that as one of the things that need to be improved.

Felt like I was re-watching an ECF game last night.

Rask is the key. That kid is amazing. Nice to see one team take a game the way the Bruins did last night. Go Bruins! Keep the curse of the President's Trophy going. lol

The 07-08 Wings were the last team to win the Cup while also winning the President's Trophy. In total, only 7 of the 26 previous winners have gone on to win the Cup. That is a 27% rate.

The entire series right now is separated by one goal, in favor of Boston ... this may go on to be one of the closest finals ever.

I'm not rooting for one team over the other. I'm rooting for this series to go seven games!

I just read about this proposed change, yesterday:

"The League will eliminate the attainable pass, which gave linesmen the discretion to wave off icing infractions on attempted passes that are deemed to be attainable. With the new standard, there must be contact with the stick."

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6...d=nhl:topheads

How do you think this will effect play? What is the rationale behind the change - less subjectivity from officials?

Raffi re-signs with San Jose. Looks like $2M/3 years.

Could be a steal.

I still don't understand why we didn't re-sign him. I thought he brought grit, scoring and stupid penalties. 2 out of three ain't bad.

I enjoy tough hockey but when a player needs to do what he did in earning his last suspension I have my doubts... the CBJ don't need Raffi Torres...

That last suspension was borderline imo.

Torres was making 2.75 million dollars a year for us. Until he **** the bed in Buffalo, it was looking like he could get 3-3.5 million a year. No way in hell is Torres worth that. Especially when we had Dorsett waiting in the wings.

Torres was (and still is) a dirtbag of the highest order. Didn't appreciate his comments about the town after he left either. I'm happy he's gone.
