My friend Eric had his dogs stuck in Bowness while at work after the evac, he went down there anyways, raced right past the emergency personel, said he was getting his dogs and they weren't stopping him. From what I hear he is in quite a bit of trouble, but he got them dogs, so he doesn't care

Another friend had his Dad refuse to leave, said he didn't care if power and gas were cut, he filled he bathtub, and said he was staying, he's a stubborn old man lol, he isn't in the danger area by the river, the big thing he's contending with is the utilities being cut

Work cancelled for me tomorrow. No shocker there, I'd be surprised if anyone in the downtown core goes to work tomorrow.

Could be up to 100,000 people affected by the time the rain subsides on Saturday.

Stay safe and dry everyone.

Ps: High River RCMP have asked for people with boats to help with the rescue efforts if at all possible. Can google their contact info if you have a boat and want to help - and have a great story to tell one day.

Pps: might as well start Filling up some water jugs, just in case.

I hope all of you guys are safe and stay that way. A few of my friends have had to evacuate their homes in Bowness. Part of me wishes I was in Calgary and not Lethbridge right now in order to help anybody out.

Stay safe, my friends.

I work on 16th Ave and 10th street at a liquor store, so on top of a hill. We were super busy with all the evacuated people all night. I guess I shouldn't be surprised with how many people wanted to drink.

The drive home to Cochrane took some planning. Managed to use the one bridge that cannot really be washed out in Stoney.

Best of luck to everyone.

You work a 2 minute walk from my house. I might need some of that liquor soon (even though I don't drink...)
I'm on a constant 20 minute alert for EMS deployment since I'm not on sandbag duty but it's going to be a long 48 hours.

Stay safe, stay dry, please keep yourselves updated and share the information. Encourage others and keep positive, Calgarians.

Stay safe, fellow Calgarians. Not affected where I live (Braeside) but the commute to work will be an issue tomorrow.

City is basically on lockdown this morning. Don't leave your house unless you absolutely have to because majority of the roads are closed near the core. Hope everyone is doing okay today!
