So you are saying Oshie by himself is enough?

Seriously, the issue here is that Oshie+3rd is not really enough and Oshie+Stewart is an overpayment which the Blues would be stupid to do. Armstrong and co. have not really given off a "we're stupid" vibe quite yet.
Shattenkirk for Ryan makes the most sense, but once again the Blues being thin on the right side is a concern there.

Good proposal;

StL would have to add a conditional 1st for 2014 though. If Perron plays less than 50 games, then the blues hand over the pick.

Blues will take Getzlaf for Oshie and Stewart.

You know Perron has had only 1 injury that caused him to miss games in his whole nhl career right?

Why do you post in blues threads when you are clueless about the blues? Serious question your post history is proof of this fact.

He does actually know the Blues...to a point. He seems to understand many of the issues they have.

He just does his best to seemingly exacerbate to get even with the ghost of John Davidson. Not really sure why.

Not sure I would be overly enthused about it considering the possible salary cap ramifications, but I could see it and not be aggravated at the management.
If the Blues can't get their center in the offseason, they will wait and get him at the deadline like they did with JayBo. They won't just give up and swap wingers instead.

No clue about Laganiere, but Karlsson is probably going to spend another year in SEL before coming over to NA. So at the earliest, William Karlsson will be in the NHL to start 2014-2015. More realistically, he'll spend the 2014-2015 season in the AHL, and then hopefully be ready by 2015-2016.

Exactly. Oshie is not yet offensively proven.

Oshie will always be a 55-65 point player, his excellent 2-way play and work ethic is what makes him valuable.

I could be happy keeping it simple. Ryan for Shattenkirk straight up.

Oshie has never hit 55 points before. He's not a 55-65 point player right now.

39 points in 57 games was on pace for 55 points over a full season.

48 in 76, he may not have hit 55 points but it was his sophomore season on a terrible Blues team

34 in 49 he was on pace for 56 points over a full season but he got injured due to falling while holding a player back and hurt his ankle

54 in 80. One point, one goal is the difference of Oshie never having a 20 goal season or 55 point season.

And this season he went 20 in 30 which would be on pace for 55 points over a full season.

Oshie is literally a perfect 2-way 2nd line winger. No one is saying Bobby Ryan doesn't put up more numbers than Oshie, but Oshie is definitely more defensively responsible than Ryan is and can still be counted on for 50 points (happy I didn't put 55?) for a full season.

We need a center not winger I am not moving Shatty for a winger even if other Blues fans are insane enough to do so. Armstrong is not stupid enough to make a trade like that thankfully.

Beauchemin-Shattenkirk
Lindholm-Fowler
Allen-Vatanen

Hopefully find someone to dump Souray on.

Sounds good to me...

Lindholm has in no way proven he's ready to play 2nd pairing minutes alongside Fowler yet. Penciling in a 19 year rookie to that spot is asking to fail.

I'm not disputing he's a perfect 2 way 2nd line winger - I was just informing the poster who claimed he was a 55-65 point winger that he in fact isn't even on the lower end of that scale yet.
