Pure blockbuster but value is there. And the thing is both teams would actually improve in this situation.

Anaheim has the defense to replace fowler, and we have laughton to replace couturier.

It's not horrible value wise, just too many moving pieces to be realistic IMO.

Great value, but too much of a blockbuster.

We don't. If we did, you wouldn't see a handful of Ducks fans asking for D.

Wow is this the 10th Bobby Ryan to Philadelphia thread in the past 3 days or so. Before Philly trys to get Ryan out of Anaheim they had better be looking to shed tons more salary especially if there trying to get Yandle also, Buying out Briere and putting Pronger on LTIR Is'nt going to be enough they were already $3 million over the cap and paying Streit $5.25 million on top of that. If Philly is going to get Ryan and Yandle that's another $10 million salary between them so Philly will have to send that much back to Anaheim and Phoenix to make it work.

ANH is giving up the best forward and defensemen in the deal, is only moving up 15 spots in a very deep draft and 1 year of Matt Read. I'm a Flyers fan and even I can see the value isn't there.

You're not getting Fowler from us. Not a chance. He's very close to being a legitimate top pairing defenseman, we're not trading him just as he's about to achieve that status.

As a Ducks fan, I would have been okay with moving Perry. I may be a minority but that contract is huge. I can see paying your big number 1 center and captain that generally always hits a ppg pace but a Star winger who has done it once and gets 100+ PIM every year? That is a lot of money sitting in the Penalty box a lot not scoring for his team.

Anaheim gets bent over in this one. We're trading the best two players in this deal

Easy no from Anaheim.

I figured Lindholm would be able to step in and replace fowler

The point of having prospects is not to replace your former prospects. Is to improve your team. Fowler is as untouchable as you can get and Lindholm will be a very nice addition to the blueline. NOT A REPLACEMENT!

Value is not there at all. Anaheim declines easily.

As a Flyers fan, this is a very easy yes.

In terms of value:
Cam Fowler > Sean Couturier
Bobby Ryan > Read and 11th overall
26th overall = Braydon Coburn

I'd rather have Couturier than Fowler.

I have no interest in getting Ryan because we have to give up too much

However, would the Ducks move Hiller? What about something focusing around Mez for Hiller?

I love Couturier but a 21 year old defenseman with 3 years experience(200+ games), playing 22 minutes a game, and a .4 PPG average is more valuable in a trade.

I suggested that a while ago in the Flyers forum, a couple of people seemed to be okay with it. I'd be willing to do that trade as I personally feel Hiller is expendable with Fasth in net.

I must ask OP, is there any reason you did not include a goalie going to Philadelphia?
