Not by much!
Theo: 3.00 GAA, .895 SV% (3 games)
Budaj: 2.95 GAA, .909 SV% (1 game)

the only difference is the extra 0 on the paycheck from this!

Am I the only one who doesn't give a **** about who starts in net?

Seems to me that both of Huet and Aebischer give us a chance to win every game assuming their teamates show up.

Abby is doing better. Say what you will but Huet was untested last game. You can blame the 2nd goal on whoever you like but the first goal Huet should've had his skate on the post. Anywho...Overall both of our goalies are doing fine, but imo Abby should be getting more starts.

Well playing Calgary might help Huet to get his 1st win , they can't score.

Aebischer will face the red hot Blackhawks , a rough test as they are one of the top offensive teams so far.

Your argument just seems so unnecessary 4 games into the season, especially with back to back games this week, it’s pretty obvious there was going to be a split in goaltender duties.

Two months would be a likely estimate. Thank god Gainey picked up Niinima otherwise we'd be watching Traverse tommorow. Streit ain't so bad, a good 6th-7th defenseman.

Hopefully Streit will improve with the icetime, having too many defenseman is a happy problem, especially when you have a few due for UFA status at the end of the year.

I am worried for dandy, but I know Streit isn't that bad as it seems and he had a good camp, he better play well or he'll have problems with my friend.

Komisarek fan... that fan hates the Swiss like chit!

Huet I kind of figured, maybe he wasn't tested to the degree Abby was but he still only let in 2 goals and was solid until the SO. Abby will start vs. Chicago and then probably vs. the Avs (although one could make the case that Carbo might start Huet again so that he doesn't give the visitors any extra motivation).

Carbo knows its a long season, both guys need equal time to show what they're capable of.

As for Dandenault, I can only hope his conditioning in the off-season will make this a shorter lay-off. I heard the guy put on some extra muscle, and did alot of working out.

The fact that Huet is getting equal starts when Aebischer is playing much better so far shows to me that Montreal has a clear preference for Huet to be the #1 guy this year. It is pretty much his to lose, as oppose to a level playing field. Even so he will have to show something more soon if Aebischer keeps playing this well.

Thanks for your new input into the Huet/Abby debate. Always appreciated.

I don't really care how many games we're into the season to be honest. If a goalie is hot...he's hot. We'll see after tomorows game I suppose.

You mean 30% more preference, right?

Huet should be ok in nets as long as there is no shoot out.

Exactly....its not like Huet is playing rotten and losing the games. He's playing just as solid as Aebischer did in his 2 starts.
Everybody has to stop overreacting, we have 2 awesome goalies and they are going to split most of the games until one of them really stinks it up. I personally think it is a great setup to have 2 number one goalies on the team. And anything is better than Theodore in there!!!

BINGO!!!!!!!!!

Who cares who is playing more games and for whatever reasons....the fact remains that we have 2 wicked goalies that go out and play the best to their abilities. The best part about it is that they are both going to try their hardest because if one of them doesn't and starts playing bad, then he will get less starts and neither of them wanna do that.

I also think that both Goalies genuinely get along as well. More of a friendly competition rather than a HATRED ala Hasek Joseph in Detroit!
