I just don't see why the Flyers should be looking at Ryan

What are the Ducks plans for Hiller with the emergence of Fasth? Would you be looking to trade him as a salary dump of sorts for this season? Maybe Coburn, Read, 2014 first for Ryan, Sbisa, Hiller.

Coburn could then be paired with Fowler, Read replaces about 20-25 goals from the loss of Ryan as well as playing solid defensively and cap space/salary from dumping Hiller. The Flyers get a top line winger to go with Giroux, a slight downgrade on defense with the potential to get better in the future and someone to split time with Mason for this year.

I don't know if it is good enough for the ducks. And to be honest if it didn't happen I would be ok keeping read and Coburn.

Change Coburn and Read to the Schenns and you've got a deal.

Hiller is starting the year, maybe moved at the deadline depending on Fasth. Fasth had a couple of injuries this year from part time work, it's not worth the risk of losing hiller for a small return. The above deal is extremely light.

I don't see that happening. Just wouldnt make sense for us. Maybe the trade I offered doesn't make sense for the Ducks but the Flyers need to keep their young guys and let them grow together. Maybe we just aren't good trading partners at the moment

I think this is correct. Both sides have similar needs (Defense) and the Ducks other need (center) is a piece the Flyers don't want to move.

One way or another ryan will be a flyer, whether it's. trade or signing him... It's almost inevitable

That seems like Anaheim gets 3 good pieces and Philly gets one with a lot of potential but is wildly inconsistent.

Ryan may very well sign with the Flyers in a few years, but if he's traded this summer I highly doubt it's to Philly.

Read doesnt feel likena good fit. I think the ducks get couts/coburn or both schenns. Otherwise no deal

Remember how Philly was going to sign Getzlaf and Perry? Yeah, that work out just as planned right?

LOL these Ryan to Philly threads need to go, just keep getting worse. Coburn, Read and two draft picks for Ryan, Sbisa and Hiller? Just awful. These two teams just aren't good trade partners, Philly doesn't have enough young talent to sacrifice the type of pieces it would require to fetch Ryan. Besides, if they making this type of big move, it will be for a dman.

I'm not a fan of the "Bobby Ryan will definitely be a Flyer at some point" argument either, but how there is any similarity whatsoever between that situation and anything around Getzlaf/Perry? It's certainly possible I missed it, but I can't remember anyone saying the Flyers were going to sign either of those guys, let alone both. Interested in one of them? Sure - who wouldn't be?

Did ryan not come out last summer saying he has heard the trade rumors and if so playing in philly would be his dream?

You are right there is no similarity, neither of those guys made it fairly clear they want to play in Philadelphia as bobby ryan pretty well has.

its already too much from a philly perspective. the two teams don't really match up well. Ryan is overvalued by philly fans because hes a hometown kid and his relationship with bobby Clarke is common knowledge. hes a good player and is the kind of star philly fans love but hes not That much better than what we have now.

meszaros and read for ryan + 11th overall for sbisa is really the only deal that makes any sense to me. balances talent and cap.

I can't wait till some team like NY or Toronto offers him 7M/year to shut up Flyer fans.

You'll have to wait two years for that.

I agree. Our fanbase has a pointless infatuation with him. If he really wants to be a Flyer, fine. Let him sign here in UFA. If he doesn't care, well, we're already pretty set at forward and he doesn't fit a need.
