Yeah I'm with you. I held the grudge that most did for a few seasons after he signed with Philly, but got over it. He'd be an asset, but there's no room for him unless we trade DD like H4L pointed out. And even then...I question if that would be the best way to fill the free'd-up spot.

It's a weak UFA class so $3 million was pretty conservative. 4.5 on anything longer than 1-2 year term would be a terrible idea, no matter who's signing him.

For sure, but as you said the way it stands right now, we're not in a position to pick up Briere. He definitely has the skill we're missing, but can't have both him and DD at centre.

Somehow, you feel like the Bruins would be interested to get their PP going. Seguin moves top 6 after Horton leaves, Brière changes the complexity of the 3rd line though but plays center with either Kelly, Campbell or Paille alongside him. Play him 3rd line and PP and you might be happy.

Yep. Crazy.

Get used to these things.

More heat = more melt/evaporation = more cloud condensation = more intense precipitation.

What goes up must come down.

Anyway... on to more important things...

Is Cammy going to be bought out?

Not the first time it happens there if I remember correctly. It happened once during the lockout of 2004-2005.

If you ask a girl out and she says no and you still say extreme things about them several years later (that they are traitors and not worthy to be Quebecois because of their career path) it should be a pretty good sign to other girls that this is not the type of guy you should be with. If you do not please this person, this is how they act. Very good motivation for young Francophone players to say 'You know what, I am going to remove myself from this madness.'

Maybe Briere just saw the direction Montrewal was headed to and wasn't happy about it. I wouldn't blame a guy for not wanting to play in his home town. Most people want to gtfo anyways

3 teams are in the running for Jonathan Bernier. Kings are going to take the best offer from Maple Leafs, Flyers or Wild. #RDS

I hope teams are also interested in Khudobin and hoping his agent hears enough rumors that he walks on the Bruins.

You'd have to think that his agent knows a team like Toronto would give him more than he'll get as Rask's backup.

Please please pretty please NO to Briere. Enough of those small players who can be pushed around and can't play defense. And he's not getting any younger.

Torts to Vancouver? Now that's digging yourself a hole.

I'm going to guess Wild for something around Clutterbuck.

Just saw this on Twitter. Its from somewhere close to all the flooding I think. Some people are just disgusting human beings to take advantage of people like this. Sad thing is Im sure they are going to sell plenty...

From a couple seasons now, it is and will always be "a weak UFA class" except maybe the odd year here and there. Players are being signed to longer contracts and at younger ages, and with the reality of 30 teams with money to spend, you'll see third liner being paid 3M+ just because teams have the space.

I doubt LA trades Bernier for anything resembling Clutterbuck. They want high picks or top young players.

That new Stars logo doesn't look like a hockey logo to me.

This year we saw Semin, Parise, and Suter go UFA in the summer.
