Un huh, and all due respect to Hap Day, but Sweeney Schriner, I mean, c'mon here. Good to better than good sure, but these were the War years, talent thinned right out. Id say just a tad hyperbolic.... interesting player, and story about Bootlegger Billy Dwyer in New York. A window into his character. Completely agreeable, magnanimous with Shriner, "your entitled to a raise, no problem Sweeney" despite the fact that he was damn near insolvent at the time & couldnt finance a ham sandwich let alone pay the first Russian born hockey player to play in the NHL $4500.
