Penguins trade Alex Grant to Ducks for Harry Zolnierczyk
What is it with the Penguins collecting cheap shot artists? I guess when games don't go their way they can hit a defenseless player into the boards? *******.
As an aside, Luongo to the Islanders almost makes too much sense. There's a three ring circus surrounding the guy. I have a hunch that Tim Thomas won't come back to civilization from hunting bears to play for the Islanders. Nabokov isn't that good. They have the cap space to do it. They can have him for almost nothing at this point.
Matt Cooke's replacement or Craig Adams replacement. both are UFA....
Bernier is a backup goalie. Not proven as a starter at all. Last two times the Leafs acquired one of those, they were disasters (Raycroft and Toskala).
Not saying that past problems are predictors of future ones, in this regard, but people shouldn't have been expecting this to be bigger than it was.
Not proven at all? Backed his team to a 1st overall finish in the 06-07 QMJHL regular season and lost 1 game out of 17 played in the playoffs to his team's first championship and earned playoff MVP. Named to the 2010 AHL all-star team and had a 2.03 GAA/.936 SV% in that season with the Monarchs. And has done pretty well in his limited NHL appearances; Quick has just done better and stole the show. From what I remember watching of Bernier, he's very capable of being a starter.
That shift is an example of why I think people advocating for Stalberg are crazy. He really couldn't get to that loose puck with his size/speed? Easily one of the dumbest hockey players I've ever seen, certainly up there with Zherdev.
FIRE SATHER FIRE SATHER FIRE SATHER FIRE SATHER FIRE SATHER
♫ Never mind you're in a snow globe in a dollar store ♫
Credit to Ail for the sig.

You mean Kreider? Right? RIGHT?
Stalberg has been decent but he's definitely missing that extra little something that would put him on the next level. But then again I think Bickell is a product of his environment and that no team should give him what he is going to get.
I might sound crazy, but if the Bruins score the second goal now, they'll win this game. If they only happen to only have 1 goal after this domination, the Hawks are taking this game. We've seen this before.
