Sort of fitting... the way the Bruins stunned the Maple Leafs that they get shocked as well.

Crazy... 2 goals in 16 seconds with a minute left? Unreal.

The Hawks giving hope to skilled teams everywhere. It's good to see that a fast paced, skilled team is still capable of winning the cup.
Absolutely classic series. You would have to be without a pulse to not enjoy this series.
Now on to more pressing concerns.....

This series should have been concluded much earlier.Having a game 6 occur on June 24,is ridiculous.

Interesting. Kane thinks Crawford got snubbed for the Conn Smythe lol.

For all the crap Toews got (and deservedly so at times). 5 points in the final 3 games. Came up big when it mattered the most.

Who cares what the date is? I'd watch hockey all year round if they'd play. I don't get fans complaining "oh gee the season runs too long" - especially in a lockout year. Would you rather have had no hockey at all?

Reluctant congratulations to the Hawks - I never thought they'd be able to handle the Bruins in a seven game series.

Congrats to Chicago. I was pulling for them and it ended up being a damn good series.

On to the offseason though. The buyout period starts 48 hours after the cup is won.

Are buyouts allowed to start Wednesday morning then or does it mean exactly 48 hours after the cup is won?

Debatable--watching the playoffs since the 80's,and for the last few years, the playoffs haven't been as entertaining like it used to be.

I'd imagine 48 hours means 48 hours from the time the final SC game ends... or else they'd have it stated as 2 days.

48 hours seems pretty clear to me. So ~9 pm MST on June 26th... Wednesday evening is when the compliance buyouts begin.

Fine line between winning and losing and its often defined by who digs down and believes the most.

Its interesting that at no point did I have any confidence Bruins were going to win this game. EVen with 80secs left I was waiting for the shoe to drop.

It did in a big way and Bruins deserve to lose on the basis of playing ****** in game 4 at home and not closing this home game out. Bruins didn't have confidence in goal scoring areas and it cost them bigtime. It cost them a chance.

Congrats to the Hawks.

LOst in this is the Bruins losing 3 in a row to get to this point so Hawks have now made a habit of putting strings together this spring.

Game 4 was of course the key.

Not many would debate it I think... we just watched the two best teams play a physical brutal series with crazy comebacks, epic overtime games some super tight games some high flying offensive games...

Really was a fantastic series.

That was a heck of a hockey game! Amazing final 7 or so minutes. When Lucic scored I was like **** then the Hawks go and score 2 goals. Bring on the trades

Bickell please come to Edmonton!

Great series but I still can't help but wonder where the offense has gone in hockey. Sharp led the playoffs with 10 goals. That's stupid low and Kane's 19 points must be the lowest total for a Conn Smythe winner in history (outside of a defensemen and obviously goaltenders).

The one offensive game in the series was predicated on the Bruins losing the script in game 4 and not playing their game plan against Chicago. For the most part it was a tight series with not many goals scored. With every game but one being 1 goal game.

This was a defensive battle. People can believe it was something else I guess and the liberation of offensive hockey and all that nonsense. It wasn't.

Seabrook's chat went a long way. Helluva player, great personality...

Minny, DET, LA and an absolutely beastly looking Boston team... much props to Chicago on a hard earned Stanley Cup. This team is some special. Could win another 1 or 2 yet...

The NHL really needs to do something to increase the scoring.Imo,the 1980's and 1990's had the best playoffs. In today's NHL,there's not enough scoring and fighting.

Crawford was anywhere from Very Good to utterly dreadful, Bickell, Sharp, Keith and Seabrook should have been ahead of him.

Frankly it would have been better to give it to Rask, then Crawford.
