Did anyone actually? I might have missed it but I certainly didn't notice, cool you called the goal, but people around here seem so intent on patting themselves on the back, haha

Why exactly? Latendresse to me still looks like he's just trying to not be caught out of position. He's really not contributing anything out there.

Lats and Samsonov were our 2 worst forwards. That's not saying they played bad, but everyone else played very well.

To Flames Moderator: I feel for you re: Leaf homers, and I see where you're coming from, but the best way to get hated by Hab fans is to liken us to Leaf fans. Leaf fans get all crazy over a regular season game because they've never won any games of consequence in the modern era. Just be thankful you only have to deal with them once a season. We have to deal with it all the time.

The way I figure it, the role-players and stalwarts are right on track, and as soon as a few of the names I mentioned get it going, we'll be sitting pretty.

One last thing: I don't want any "OMG FALMES SUX LOL GO HABS~!!!!!11" posts in the Flames board tonight, like we had on Saturday night. If we have that, then deletions and warnings - and possibly points - will ensue.

Good day.
What? They DO suck!

My real question is: how can you be both a habs fan and a flames fan and still stay sane after tonight's game?

Man o man, I'm just a fan of the habs and I had a hard enough time not dying.

Imagine being a fan of both... my head would just explode.

Wow what a game, a real character test and the Habs passed with flying colours. And the best part is we beat them at their own game. They played us physical and we match it especially Komi and then they were forced to run and gun with us. BIG MISTAKE. Only Buffalo can skate with us. The third liine was fantastic Bonk , JOhnson and even Perezhogin controlled the play so well. A few shifts they were buszzing all around Kipper. 1st line was solid and 2nd played better. We didnt really have a 4th line after Downey left. The De was still a little shaky but thats what happens when you play an open game. Souray is a lethal weapon WHy cant people see how important he is. HUet a little shaky but still okay. Can you say letdown game tomorrow, I hope not.

One of the latest in a string of head scratchers. I just don't get the personnel moves of that franchise.

What a game. Johnson is proving to be a great pick-up. Just a solid, all-situation player. Overall this season Perezhogin has been better than Plekanec, which is a little surprising, given all the pre-season speculation that he was probably the odd man out. But it's not really Plekanec's fault. That 2nd line unit is just dysfunctional.

GDTs that predict goals for Latendresse represent silly wishful thinking. Predictions of a third period goal by Latendresse are even sillier. Unless the Habs are really depleted by injury, I wouldn't expect to see much of him in the third period of a tight game, at least not for a long time. There are some real money players on the Habs who are in on many of the crucial goals: Ryder, Higgins, Koivu, and Kovalev, for starts. By the way, Plekanec assisted on both of Kovy's beauts this season. I look for more of the same from him. He'll do more for Kovy than Ribeiro ever did.

I was at the game and it was really exciting live, and i'm sure it translated well on TV as well. One thing i've been noticing about Niinima lately is that he plays the puck high off the boards in his own end A LOT. Maybe its because he finally got nailed with a penalty tonight for accidentaly shooting it out that it really struck out, but I really think he should work on using the boards more effectively before he gets nailed with too many delay of game calls that will ultimately hurt the team
