Kane was good in the series against the Wild. He didn't score but he set up a lot of the goals. Against Detroit he was alright (bad for his standards) but he got better towards the end of the series. Against LA he was no where to be found until games 4 & 5. But he played absolutely amazing in those games to get the hat trick. He then played incredible in the finals.

I watched every single Blackhawks game and the biggest thing about their team was that there was no clear cut MVP. There were so many players that stepped up in big situations, so it became a question of who stepped up when it mattered the most and that was obviously Kane. Crawford was amazing at times but he also had his struggles and till this day people question whether or not he's a great goaltender or a player that's benefitting from a great team and system. When Quick & Thomas won the Conn Smythe's they were undoubtedly their team's best players and they were considered elite ELITE goalies with inhumane playoff runs. Crawford just didn't have that, and Kane stepped up when it mattered the most, so I can see why they gave it to him.

Really happy Handzus got a cup! The guy is an awesome player and guy, and gave his all for the Flyers.

Apart from that not many positives!

Pronger was the clear MVP that year. There's no way in hell the Flyers make it that far without him. It's nice that Briere put up all of those points, but our defense was the reason we got as far as we did. That and David Krejci's broken arm.

Keep in mind who Pronger was playing in front of. He was incredible.

You know, immediately following last night's game, I said to my girlfriend "I can't even imagine how bruins fans feel right now."

Then i thought about it... game 6, cup finals, at home, brutal collapse to lose the cup to the Chicago Blackhawks.

...Yeah, you won't be getting any pity from me, Boston.

In game situation? It's close to be honest, but letting up 2 goals in 17 seconds is worse. The Leighton goal is only close because that goal should never go in.

In overall context? Leighton 100x worse because at least the Bruins have a cup within the last 2 years. How gutted did you feel as a Flyers fan in 2010 with nothing to fall back on?

I have no clue what happened. I saw Lucic score, then I turned the channel at the under 6 timeout to Star Trek and when I turn it back they are shaking hands. I was in shock.

I think losing on the softest OT goal ever conceded was worse.

Seriously. Even many of the Bruins players looked like they were smiling sincerely during the handshake line, obviously not happy with the result but not as completely drained and disheartened as our guys were in 2010.

Personally I prefer the MFL debacle over what happened last night (disregarding 2011).

a) Because without Leighton's gaffe they still would've continued playing the game and maybe lost it anyway. The Bruins on the other hand were on their way back to Chicago.
b) The ridiculousness of it all actually made to loss bearable to me. I was just sitting there laughing at what I just witnessed, it was that stupid. I actually got over that loss really quickly. That wouldn't have happened with yesterday's result.

So happy for Zeus; should have happened in 2004, but nice to see in 2013.

I'm blown away that they gave Kane the Conn Smythe; he was virtually invisible for two and a half rounds. Keith and Crawford were consistently great throughout the playoffs.
that's not true

He has to play in half the regular season games, as well as one Stanley Cup Final game

He did neither. However, they can still petition to get his name on The Cup

Also, losing it the way the Bruins lost was a million times worse than how we lost it.

Two reasons why I hoped the Flyers would consider signing him as a free agent a couple of years ago: his strength on faceoffs and his abilities in shootouts.

Which Star Trek, TNG I hope. All others pale in comparison.

Oh that didn't even cross my mind. Decent movie IMO. Wanna see the 2nd one before it leaves theaters but I don't know if that's gonna happen.

Just go see it. Actually, before you go see that, watch The Wrath of Khan (still think it's the best Star Trek movie, but still).

My dad was watching that movie as well on FX before the game started.

I've seen Star Trek II (?) in the past but if maybe I'll re-watch it before I see Into Darkness.

Get the Blu-ray of it. It's a true HD remastering where they went back and got the original negatives to make it true 1080p. It's pretty damn sweet.

Only 13 bucks on amazon so I just ordered it. I've been getting TNG seasons remastered as they've been coming out so I have no doubt it's worth the 13 dollars . There are comparison videos on YouTube if at all interested (TNG). The difference in quality, it's truly amazing.

I seriously almost bought the first 3 seasons and all of TOS for like $200 for the Blu-ray copies when they were all at least 50% off on Amazon.
