Heatley for Giguere?

Attempting to propose a trade, he's not too happy with Heatley right now and really needs the goaltending. I'm thinking Heatley for Giguere, and maybe offer up a LW to replace like J. Jokinen for something else (Sanford?).

Here's the teams: (Yahoo HTH league, min. 3 goalie appearances)

C: Horcoff, Wellwood, Fisher
LW: Gagne, Vanek, J. Jokinen
RW: Selanne, Walker, Parrish
D: Salo, Ehrhoff, Chara, Markov, Johnsson
G: Vokoun, Giguere

And

C: Nylander, Brind'Amour, Savard
LW: Heatley, Rucinsky, Holmstrom
RW: Hemsky, Zubrus, Carter
D: Pronger, Gonchar, Malik, Pothier, Baumgartner
G: Joseph, Sanford

I'd love to get Heatley though not too fond of parting with Giguere right now, though Vokoun is starting to come back to his own and he clearly needs goaltending more than anything. Do I try to get Sanford for J. Jokinen as well (almost nothing to choose from in FA goalies, Dunham, Budaj, Backstrom, Thibault, Holmqvist, Grahame, Hedberg, Johnson)? Thanks.

if you manage to pull that trade off, that's a serious rip-off. although giguere is a really good goaltender on a good team, heatley is a lot more valuable.

Perhaps something more reasonable then. Heatley for Giguere and Vanek? That way he can replace a LW spot and get better goaltending.

vokoun + someone for heatley would be more reasonable, but vokoun's value isn't the best right now.

go for the giguere + someone for heatley. he might accept it.

Giguere for Heatley will get vetoed in a milli-second, Giguere and Vanek for Heatley may take a few hours to get vetoed. Even though Heatley is struggling, you're still going to need to offer up more than that. Like someone else said, try Vokoun+someone.

Thanks for the advice, still mulling over who to propose. While we're at it, another question, on the fairness of a totally different trade (it's not mine):

Hossa, Bryzgalov, Toskala
for
Sullivan, Roloson, Osgood

hossa > sullivan
toskala > osgood
roloson > bryzgalov

the guy who gets hossa wins the trade pretty clearly.

That trade should get vetoed pretty quickly too...
