Assistant coach would be a really solid start considering where he decided to coach after Bingo. He would have had a much better chance at an NHL head coaching gig staying in the AHL obviously. I hope he becomes a Buffalo assistant.

Agreed..he should be currently in Ottawa as an assistant and swallowed his pride

Congrats Grand Rapids on winning The Cup!

I think he will. I might be a season ahead of myself, but I feel he'll be physically ready for Game 1 of the regular season and do some serious damage.

Canucks' farm team heading to Utica

Upper New York a 'great hockey area'

.."The location is a really great hockey area," said Scott Arniel, who is under contract for two more years to coach the Canucks' minor-league affiliate. "You have Syracuse, Binghamton and Albany close by. You've got Wilkes-Barre not too far away. And Hershey. There are some really good teams in that area and teams that have been in the league for a long time. And you don't have to worry about travel obviously, whereas in Chicago you were maybe flying around."..

..The Canuck farmhands will play out of the Utica Memorial Auditorium, an aging 4,000-seat facility built in 1959 that will require significant renovations to accommodate the AHL. As of Thursday, no work had yet begun but there is $2.25 million in state funds earmarked for arena improvements...

He was already a NHL assistant with Jersey. Started in 2001 - 2002, not sure how long he lasted.

Broome Arena to undergo $2.5 million makeover

BINGHAMTON — A $2.5 million makeover at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena will replace every fixed seat, light and update the prominent outside marquee at the facility.

When renovations are complete the Arena will be fitted with new crimson seats and LED lighting

Renovations will practically transform the county’s largest indoor event venue into a new building on the inside, and also replace hockey boards, glass and two 40-year-old ice resurfacing machines.

..new exterior stairs on the North concourse; $200,000 for concession upgrades; and work on the players’ showers, lounge and weight rooms.

No Pageau? Barring a trade at forward I don't see how he starts in Ottawa.

Damn that's a stacked team at forward.

Andre Benoit

Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch from the Ottawa Sun tweeted:

The Senators offered Andre Benoit a two-way deal. He will be going to unrestricted free agency at noon today. #Sens #ottnews

Glad for Ottawa that they got Ryan, but disappointed that we won't be seeing Noesen here in Binghamton next season.

Likewise. Was expecting big things from Noesen.

I'll definitely be following his career. Hope he becomes a good one for the Ducks.

Despite the cup final loss, I've never felt much hate for the Ducks. Too many players I like.

DaCosta can't be around much longer i wouldn't think. If he has any value. Might have to wait for him to continue to play well and add some value for a trade.

Borocop just signed for another two yrs, the second yr is a one way. I assume they want him to teach Ceci the ropes & probably play with him. They were pretty good together at Ceci's first development camp, very good tandem.

Excellent news. I was wondering how his contract would end up.

I don't think there's any chance that you see Pageau back down in Bingo. My personal opinion is they trade someone if they absolutely need to make room, but as of now, I think there's enough room for him to fit comfortably into Ottawa's top 9.
