If Horcoff is bought out or somehow traded, Bolland would be perfect for our third line.

a 2nd is not enough to warrant trading him

With what Ladd and Byfuglien were traded for...I'd expect a similar return for Bolland.

The reason the Hawks want to let him go is the reason that most teams shouldn't trade for him.

Love the Hawks and agree that Bolland should be moved so that a couple kids with superior talent and lesser cap hits can get their shots but why anyone would want to ante up for him is beyond me.
How was Paul Gaustad worth a 1st?????

It would be sad to see Bolland go, as he was one of my favorite players over the last 5 or so years.

If healthy, he would be a welcome addition to any team. He's a gamer, with two stanley cup rings that he played a pivotal role in capturing.

Totally agree with this.

That being said - I'd much rather have Bickell on the roster for $3.5M'ish than Bolland for $3.4M. Hawks are again in the difficult position of rotating "non-core" guys off the roster, but I'd much rather Bowman be pro-active, re-sign Bickell and add additional assets to the pipeline.

Ah, some nice offers in here. I'd trade him for pick 31-35 or a 2nd and a prospect.

Then what is? Tough decisions need to be made and at this point moving him would allow the Hawks a lot more flexibility in their roster decisions.

I love Bolly, but his time on the Hawks may be short.
